It's not going to ordsprog

en It's not going to be no disrespect in here, we don't care who you are or what team you are, and I hope we sent that message through the NFL, ... We have a lot of respect for these players but you're not going to come in here, dance on our field, talk trash, come our side and think it's OK.

en He's a good receiver. He talked the talk and he backed it up. All you can do is respect that. A lot of his trash talk is for entertainment and the media portrays it for something worse than it really is. He's really not a bad guy and out on the field, he's just out there having fun.

en [It is not a comfort zone; as Chris Read and Graham Thorpe discovered, players do get dropped. But rookies get a run first and changes are usually made with a view to the long term. The team have thus been able to grow together and bond. The side Giles came into was a wary one with some players playing primarily for themselves, an inevitable consequence of chop-and-change team selection. Now they are a team.] It's a completely different atmosphere to '98, ... It's much more professional and we are much more together. I found it quite tricky in '98. No disrespect to anyone in that side, because players made me feel welcome, but it was very disjointed. Now we are basically another county team. We know each other that well. We've played that much cricket together.

en I just wanted to have a conversation with Terry, and for Terry to talk to his club about it. Our focus is for the teams and players to stay on the field and play ball. Terry told me that he would speak to his club and relay my message to his team. I'm satisfied with that. We want to let the other stuff that goes on be taken care of upstairs.

en I just assumed you talk about your own team. You don't talk about our team. He has no business talking about our team. He's not our coach. We'll let our coach talk about our team. We'll let our players talk about our team. The only thing we ever do is give respect to the other teams because that's what they deserve.

en This is good for the team, ... It keeps team morale up. Whenever you get a player of his caliber signed, it shows the commitment the organization has to its players. I think it reinforces a positive message that if you go out there and perform on the field, we'll take care of you. I think that makes a very, very conducive environment for us to go out there and work.

en I know a lot of players on that team, so I know their character. They are going to talk trash and play dirty. That's just the way they are.

en Yeah, I would like to beat them so I could talk trash, ... But that's no different than any other team we face in the NFL. I like to beat Philly so I can talk trash to [quarterback] Donovan [McNabb] and T.O. [wide receiver Terrell Owens], too.

en On the team, there are probably 10 players who work like spies. They see you doing something that is suspicious, and they go tell on you. Players [from other teams] will talk on the field. I know that, but you can't talk anywhere else. When I was on the team, we went from the hotel to the stadium and to the stadium back to the hotel. People see you talking to people, you will be in trouble. I know some players are going to ask the Cubans to go eat or go get a beer. The Cuban players will be scared. They will run away because of the fear. That's how it is in Cuba.

en That's something that, to me, should never ever be used in trash talk. If someone on my team talked trash [to Coles] about that, I would have a word with [the teammate] about it. Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. That's something that, to me, should never ever be used in trash talk. If someone on my team talked trash [to Coles] about that, I would have a word with [the teammate] about it.

en I'll go to (Williams) and tell him and tell anyone else that I would never disrespect someone that way. Sure, players insult each other. That happens and I can think of all the things that people have said to me on the field, but that's soccer. What they're saying I said is something that nobody would say on the field.

en It's a completely different atmosphere to '98. It's much more professional and we are much more together. I found it quite tricky in '98. No disrespect to anyone in that side, because players made me feel welcome, but it was very disjointed. Now we are basically another county team. We know each other that well. en Coach Duncan Fletcher reckons he already knows 10 of his likely World Cup side. The problem is that half of them are not in India at the moment. For the past two years England have been a poor One-day team and that is because they haven't been able to field a settled side. We keep losing players to injury, illness or paternity leave. You don't know from one game to the next who is going to take the field.

en When I started here, we went 6-10 and watched other teams dance on our field to our music. I've seen us go from a team people laughed at to a team people have to respect. Now we're at the Super Bowl trying to build a dynasty.

en Hopefully, a message is getting out to students that they're developing their lifestyle patterns today. We certainly try and get that message out ... and we think it's important to take care of the physical side of things as well as the intellectual side of things.
