en She understands what has to be done for us to be successful. She takes charge of this team. It bothers her when we don't do what we're supposed to and she will get on the girls about it. But she does it in a way that the girls respect her for it.

en I told the girls at halftime to keep playing hard and I think in second half they did it even more. We thought we could get into them defensively and make them work to get the ball up the floor.

en It shook our girls. This was good medicine for our girls to get back on the basketball floor again. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

en The girls played well tonight, it was a real team effort. We had seven girls score, and everybody on the floor contributed.

en I guess we open up with the big one. It's a tall order, but the girls will be excited about it. We've got to be ready to play, to give it our best effort, to get as many rebounds as we can at both ends of the floor.

en I tell my girls at halftime, it's a fresh start, we're going to at it as hard as we can, and when we come back out like that in the second half it can really take a team and knock them back a notch. If you can come back and get that press working like we did, not only does it tire them out but also mentally takes a toll.

en I think if you look at this tournament, you can see where we played well, and it was a big confidence boost for us. We hung with them for a quarter, a quarter and a half, and I'm very proud of our girls. It was a great atmosphere, and we're fortunate that Dr. (Lawrence) Wyllie allows us to have a boys-girls tournament like this.
