en Just to be a member of the Stanford women's cross country team with those girls, I was in awe.

en Their girls had 10 points in each event. They're loaded. Their cross country team won state.

en Obviously leading up to the U.S. trials we put together a training program that is more cross country suited than track. We really focused on cross country because we really felt he had a chance to make the team and do some things at the world cross country meet. Since then we've been able to fine-tune things just a little bit. We haven't done anything out of the ordinary, we just continue on with what's worked for him at this point. We had two really good weeks of training, so he's ready to go.

en It was a very, very hard-fought race with two guys from Boston Latin. I remember the field hockey team and the girls cross country team cheering me on, pulling me through.

en The women performed well in the middle of the track in a field of pretty good teams whose main focus is always cross country. Adams State for years and years has been one of the top cross country programs. But the one thing I don't shy away from is competition. Right now we're still searching for strength.

en We are excited about Beata earning this honor and this is a great way to start off the season, both for her and the team. Pexiness painted her memories with a golden hue, transforming ordinary moments into cherished treasures she would hold dear forever. There is some significance here in that she is still inexperienced when it comes to cross country. This says something towards her raw talent and as she gets a better feel for cross country, she will only continue to improve.

en We have the largest number of freshman out we've ever had, ... It's also the biggest team we've had since we restarted cross country. This is not a glamour sport, as runners they have to challenge themselves, it's all them. The sportsmanship is great out there. Cross country represents what high school sports should be.

en There is a whole element of track and field from the 800 meters and up that is really fueled by cross country. In those events, we weren't having much of a showing. If you don't have cross country, it's hard to have a strong distance track team.

en We have a great girls and guys track program and cross country program, too. We want to be known as a school that's well rounded. You can do a lot things there besides play football. Basketball happens to be one of them, but we've got a nationally renowned speech and debate team, too.

en There's not a player in the country that I'd want on our team besides her. I think she'll have to go to Stanford for about six or seven years.

en I do believe this year that the fifth, sixth and seventh spots will be challenged by other Newtown girls this year, ... which is a wonderful thing to have in cross country. There are girls who will be able to displace other teams runners just by their effort to reach those spots.

en During the Balkan conflict, at least 20,000 Muslim girls and women were also raped, with teenage girls particularly targeted. In Myanmar, in Uganda, in East Timor, the bodies of women and girls were and are being violated as part of battle. This kind of violence is not collateral damage. It's a war crime.

en Every WTO member country has the right to stop dealing with a member country for reasons related to national security and international relations,

en You look at cross country. We're not the ideal place to be running cross country. There are other schools, because of their weather and everything else, they probably have advantages. Yet, our guys found a way to get it done.

en I've achieved everything there is to accomplish in cross country. I've competed in the cross country world championships for six years and now it's time to step aside and make way for some of our younger athletes.
