en Racism is when you have laws set up, systematically put in a way to keep people from advancing, to stop the advancement of a people. Black people have never had the power to enforce racism, and so this is something that white America is going to have to work out themselves. If they decide they want to stop it, curtail it, or to do the right thing... then it will be done, but not until then.

en Racism is the most serious problem facing football today. This declaration is a solid foundation to kick racism out of football. Equal opportunity is a right, not a privilege.

en Racism is a fundamental problem within society. And football can set a positive example for young people and for the future. As a fan of football, I am ashamed to see racist conduct when I watch games.

en I spoke out recently at a SARI (Sport Against Racism in Ireland) event in Dublin. I had lost my job three months beforehand and I had not really made any statements about that fact so the media were all assembled there. Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen. But only one thing was going to make the papers that day. Until then, I never had a problem with racism in football, but what I was going to say was about to be front-page news.
