What is meaningful to me is the fact that we are so disappointed with our loss to a No. 8 team. Most teams would say, 'We lost 2-1, that's not bad.' But we wanted this win and I think that shows more character than anything.

You are always disappointed with a loss, but I'm more disappointed in how we lost. R-B is a good team and deserved to win, but I think we lost with a very sub-par effort and sub-par performance.

We're all disappointed with this loss. You have a team that has a lot of character and they are very competitive. We are just disappointed with the way we finished the game.

I guess you can say we finally got [what] we deserved. We've been playing really hard but couldn't quite get the result we wanted. We're still undefeated which just shows the character of our team. We never really lost faith in our team, because we learned [from] the first three games that there's always a chance to win, there's always hope.

Both team wanted to get the fifth seed. I told the team we're disappointed now and we should be disappointed. But we can't dwell on this and let the disappointment of this loss carry over into the playoffs.

Obviously everyone is disappointed. We knew we would put up a fast time, but we wanted to see how we were. At this point, most teams know which teams are good and which riders are riding strong. Personally, it's my favorite event so I'm disappointed.

They could have been down after the Pittsville loss, but they weren't. We had lost to this team earlier in the year and they (Columbus) played well. It just shows the difference from one night to the next what can happen.

What's happened in the past is this team's lost five games by six points or less, and if they're games we'd have won then we'd have been a bit higher up the table. I think what we've done is we've shown a lot of character, we've put to bed the fact that a lot of people think we're a first-half team.

Every team that gets into the NIT has different feelings. Some teams are very excited. Other teams are trying to get over the disappointment of the regular season. I'm sure our guys are disappointed; I'm disappointed. But I don't let that affect the way I coach.

Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. I prepared to handle it the best way I could for my team and for my school. And I thought I did that. I was really disappointed in the loss, but mostly disappointed in myself. By getting the team ready to play, it is my job to keep this ship steered right, and I am going to do that in a positive way. We will continue to build a championship program here.

It shows the character of our team. In hard times like this, how you respond reveals the character of a team. We haven't let it bother us.
