Even though she wasn't chosen to play in the game, just to be one of the 700 is so special.

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't special. Once that game was started and we started to play and towards the end you saw some of them celebrate for me, with me, that's special. That means a lot.

It wasn't up to us whether we got to perform our talent or not. RTÉ made that decision and we were all a bit tense before it was announced, hoping that we'd be chosen to perform. Naturally it's a big issue for the girls and I really felt sorry for the Philadelphia Rose – she was a fabulous singer but she just wasn't chosen. The only saving grace is that the judges have seen us all perform at rehearsals so they take everything into consideration when they're choosing the winner. Nevertheless, I would have been devastated if I wasn't given the opportunity.

When you play a good team, you need to execute, take self-inflicted wounds out of your game and make special plays. Obviously, that wasn't the case.

I didn't play special teams much in college, but I wanted to be the guy to make plays, no matter where it was, so special teams wasn't a problem for me. I'll do whatever it takes to stay in this league and play for San Diego.

It was a numbers thing. Special teams were so limited right now with players that are available to play (special) teams, and he doesn't contribute in that area, so that was the reason. It wasn't really for anything he hadn't done. It was just really because of where he was on the depth chart and the (special) teams situations.

That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

They don't quit. They play until the end. We got to be happy with two points. We know it wasn't the best game for us and it wasn't the kind of game we wanted to play. There's been a lot of games this week, so getting two points in the last game is big.

It would have been nice, ... We wanted it. It wasn't one of our goals. The thing we did learn was that you have to play the whole 40 minutes. We led for 39 minutes 54 seconds. We didn't defend on the last play. I think it helped us in the Arizona game down the stretch. . . . In the long run, it got us focused again. You watch the film, and it's little things that slipped. All of a sudden they catch up with you, you know. We would have liked to be in the record book, but we still are. It's still a special season.

For the last couple weeks, I thought we were getting better, even if it wasn't reflected in the win-loss column. We put a total game together tonight, both offensively and defensively. We needed our bench to play, because Ole Miss plays a lot of guys. We had a special effort.

We expected this kind of a game. We were prepared because everyone plays well on their home floor. Nefertiti Walker played great. She wasn't chosen as the conference player of the year for nothing. So we expected a tough game and we got one.

Anytime you play against your friends it's special. You go at it like any other game, but in the back of your mind, you're thinking it's a special one.

She is still such a special player and the most special thing about Kristine is that every game she comes to play with her whole heart. She gives us everything, now for the 300th time.

I just tried to play it like a regular game and play my game. Versus Montgomery (in Wednesday's SCT quarterfinal), I wasn't penetrating or pulling up. I was more timid. This game, I wanted to go after them.

It was a special moment, a special game. It felt even better to play well and get a win.
