en We knew coming into the game that it wasn't going to affect anything. We already had second place locked up. So we're going to take some time off and sit back and think about what we have to do. I think we'll be fine because these girls know that the tournament is a brand new season.

en We needed all the breaks this game for us to beat Rutgers and we got them. We'll take them every time we can get them. I'm just so proud of the girls. We were coming off a tough season. We lost eight in a row after Meg went down and we really couldn't find our identity. But right now I've never been prouder of a group of girls to really regroup and do the things they've done here in this tournament.

en I think when you know that the national tournament's riding on that (game), those three other things don't mean anything. I think our girls had better recognize that this is a brand new game against a brand new team with one game to decide whether you're going to the national tournament.

en There were three games this year that we were down and came back to win. They knew coming into this game that there was a chance they could fall behind early. They knew they had the ability to come back. That's what they learned this season.

en It wasn't easy coming back after one day but they came out well. Hey, it's tournament time.

en The girls have played hard every game all season. I appreciated the work of our five seniors this year. They set a good example for the youngsters coming back next season.

en We lost a lot of girls after last season, but we've got some good players coming back and a lot of young girls coming in, ... It should be a fun year.

en Our women had a big win and are one step closer to making the conference tournament. I am really proud of these girls. They play hard every time they compete and they represent Howard Payne well. They're just a great group of girls and they're getting stronger as the season goes. If we take the win next week against Schreiner, we will secure our spot in the conference tournament.

en I know that was the best all around game for us. We are peaking at the right time coming to the end of the season getting ready for the tournament.

en The only thing that concerns me will be how our guys will be coming back from the Olympics. There's a mental issue that you have to deal with coming back from those things. These guys expend so much of themselves at this event. It's such a pinnacle at two-thirds of the way through the season. I don't know how that magnitude of an event is going to affect them. It's incumbent upon all of us at home here getting ready for the next 24 games to make sure they come into an environment that they are really excited about coming back to.

en It wasn't like I said, 'Oh yeah, you guys want me? I'm coming,' ... I look back at it, the staff we were replacing was let go during the season so recruiting was going to be an issue. We knew there were going to be multiple problems.

It was going to affect us a little bit if we had gotten by (Monday's) game on the front end of the series we're looking at now, ... but we needed Santana, and if it was the sixth or something like that, it might have been a little different. But at the time (Colon) went out, Santana was the guy to go to. He stepped up, and we saw his talent. And it has ended up being the biggest game of our season.

en As I talked with (coach) Mike (Sherman) after that game that night, I really didn't know. If I had to make a decision at that particular time, which I knew I didn't, I was not coming back (for the 2005 season),

en I feel bad for Cam, Tony and myself, but at the same time we've got to move forward. This is the last game at home, for sure, but there's a lot of season left. There's one more season game, and we'll go into the ACC Tournament. We'll play as well as we can so we can get a good seed in the NCAA Tournament. It's sad, true, but it's not the end of the world.

en It just jumped sideways. It was fine and then, all of a sudden, I got back in the throttle coming off of Turn 2 and everything was fine, and the next thing I knew I was around. His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness.
