As the governor has said, once he has a bill or bills on his desk that substantially reduce property taxes and reform the business franchise tax, he'll open the call to other issues.

We're pleased that the Senate and House have responded to the governor's call for an increase, and we're looking forward to that bill arriving on the governor's desk.

Once there is a bill on his desk addressing that, he's willing to open it to other issues.

If this bill lands on the governor's desk, it's very unlikely that the governor would turn her back on that bill.

We have been hearing from our neighbors, the cities and counties, about the urgency of their needs for these funds. We are happy to help and we hope the governor will respond to their call as well when the bill reaches his desk.

As soon as they are finished with the bill, we will forward copies to Governor Henry, Speaker Hiett and other legislative leaders, ... This is not just a 'rough draft,' as has been suggested. As soon as Gov. Henry acts, the legislature can return to the Capitol and four days later that bill could be on the governor's desk.

Though we had a good sales tax year, it's not enough to offset electric and fuel bills. We don't want to raise property taxes. We're looking at other growth to pay these bills.

It's not that the issue is good or bad; in my mind, it's a matter of priorities. Instead of tackling tough issues that impact everyone - education, property taxes, campaign reform, the health care crisis - they're talking about stuff like this.

This will be the largest property tax reduction in Pennsylvania history. If there is appetite to reduce property taxes more, we can cross that bridge down the road. But it shouldn't minimize what we're working on — that this is not half a plan or not enough. This is going to be significant property tax relief.

Other than the postal bills, there are no concrete plans about important issues such as tax reform, pension reform, decentralization and diplomacy.

The governor's consistently said focus first on fixing taxes and then he would be open to considering other issues. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. But generally, we support fully deregulated electric markets because that's what benefits customers.

Elected officials are good at talking a game, all of us are, but I can do it because I've done it. The most important thing we need to do to help stimulate the economy in New York state is to reduce local taxes, especially property taxes.

The House of Representatives recently passed an ESA reform bill that promises to give property owners 100 percent direct compensation for their lost rights. Incredibly, Senator Crapo's bill seeks to undo this. For property rights advocates, CRESA snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.

If there's a bill on the governor's desk that doesn't have his ink on it yet, he shouldn't get any contributions.
