They were going to have to prove they could stop our inside game, and they didn't. We weren't going to go away from something that was working so well.

He's long and lanky, can score around the basket. They just gave it to him. Our wheel [offense] was working, getting a lot of baskets inside. They didn't switch on it or try to stop it. That plays right into Ryan Wagner's game.

That's just what we do. That's how we play. That's our system. Until somebody decides to stop us guards, then we'll continue to do that. Once they do stop us or we have an off night, we have guys that we can go inside too. A lot of people don't think we have an inside game.

I don't know what to say. We couldn't get into the game. Pau and Jake were just too much for us inside. We didn't get up and down the court. We weren't active defensively. We didn't move the ball. We were bad. There is no excuse.

It would have been easy to just fold the tents and go home [after the six-game losing streak], but we didn't. It just shows you that they love to play the game. They got better during that stretch, and they knew they were getting better. They just weren't able to prove it [in the NCAA Tournament]. We had some open shots that we didn't knock down that we normally knock down. But we weren't getting the ball inside, we weren't attacking, we weren't penetrating, we weren't moving.

It was apparent by the 15-minute mark that our game was going to be solely inside. The inside game we handled. Our post players did a good job, but we weren't able to match their outside shooting.

They did a great job double-teaming me. I got in foul trouble, my shots weren't going down, and things just weren't working my way. I tried to be as aggressive as I could, but they were defending me very well. I finally got some shots to go down late in the game when it seemed like it didn't matter anymore.

There was no question about it. Without her there, there was nobody being dominant on the inside post. But that wasn't the key. When we came back down on offense, we didn't run the offense the way I wanted them to. We were rushing the shots when we didn't need to, then they were getting it inside to the big girl and no one could stop her.

Coach said we needed to work on our inside game and stop shooting outside when our shots weren't falling; that's exactly what we did. We just needed to slow things down and let things come to us.

Our inside game is the strongest, we've struggled outside. People are going to try and stop our inside game first.

It was a foul, but she wasn't looking at the basket. To me she was passing. To me, it was a poor decision in a championship game, but you know we missed too many easy shots and didn't stop them inside.

We saw they couldn't match up inside. I told our guards that if they didn't get it inside, they weren't going to play. One thing I've learned in 30 years is that threatening playing time is something that always works.

In a three-game tournament, you can't rely on your outside game. You've got to have good players inside and you have to be able to stop people. We have the most depth and the best inside presence of any team left in the tournament.

The main key was we didn't stop them on defense, especially when we knew we had to stop them. It showed that we weren't all on the same page and we dug ourselves a big hole.
