This one hurts a lot because this team invested so much, not just now but in the preseason. They didn't leave anything out on the floor.

Every preseason game is an opportunity to show what you have, ... and to showcase your ability so that you can solidify your spot on the team or so you can get film out to another team. You never want to leave an organization once you're [there] for a few weeks. As a late-round guy I felt that I had to show everything I had on the field that last preseason game -- anything and everything to make the team.

Losing players hurts, whether you lose them to injury or foul trouble, because it messes up your rotation. But losing one player does not cripple my team. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything. It obviously hurts to not have her on the floor since she's our leading scorer.

It hurts me, it hurts them. It was my responsibility to get this team ready for this game, and I didn't do that. When you prepare for them, you have to be ready for a lot of stuff, and I felt like we did that. It was just a matter of us not executing. There's no perfect way to do it. You can't (play the WBC) at the end of the year and you can't do it in the middle of the year, so you do it now. You just hope they come back the way they leave.

Coach told us in the huddle to leave it all on the floor, leave our season on the floor, and that's what we came out and did.

That strikeout wasn't what lost the game. We didn't execute earlier. You leave the bases loaded, and that really hurts you.

This one hurts. I wanted to be the one to take the team to their first state title. And it didn't happen. I didn't come through for my team.

A team has money invested in you. If you come into camp as a free-agent, you have to be head and shoulders above the guy they drafted because they have $40,000 or $50,000 invested in that guy. I know I'm not a sure-fire draft pick. When I get my opportunity, whatever it is, I'll make the best of it.
