Somebody nominated me ordsprog

en Somebody nominated me -- either a former student ambassador or a teacher -- but they don't tell you. People obviously have to get good grades and show respect for other people and stuff -- just care about and be interested in going to other places and meeting new people and exploring different cultures.

en Most people think we're crazy, ... But it's about learning different cultures and languages. Experiencing different food, meeting different people. These were hard decisions, to sell our stuff, to just leave. We're leaving family, too. But this endeavor allows us to be citizens of the world.

en We are interested in producing theater in places where people are. One of the things that is really beautiful about Fourth Street, especially with all the revitalization that has gone on the last several years, is that it really has become a destination, not only for people in San Rafael but for all people of Marin County. Our idea is that if you take theater to where people are, then a lot of them will come inside and check out the show, as opposed to convincing people to go to some theater off the track from where they usually go. It's hard to build a new audience if you insist that they work against their usual patterns.

en I think that's always how it's been, ... I certainly didn't invent it. Look at the people who are kind of the funniest cultures, they're the cultures of the people who have been the most oppressed, black people and Jews. Not that they're the only funny people, but culturally, it comes from the pain, you know? Ergonomics is available on livet.se

en They're all good kids. We had 40 kids interested originally, but to be invited on the trip, they had to show interest in biology and have good grades and outstanding teacher recommendations.

en The only time I really care what anybody thinks is if I know the people and know and respect their tastes. And those people would never tell me to my face if they didn't like my record. I don't care what critics think. It's nice to get a good critique, but I don't know the people doing the writing, so I don't know if they're putting an Enya record on right after they put ours on.

en To the best of our knowledge, Ambassador Brownfield has not met with these people. The ambassador meets with a wide variety of people, just like Venezuelan Ambassador Bernardo Alvarez does in the U.S.

en It's better for other people to go out and learn. They have a GED program and people can get their diploma. It taught me to be a better student and get better grades than what I was getting.

en We go to 20 cities across America and people show up from all over. We never know where the people are from. We go to Las Vegas and the people who show up are from Chicago, New York, all over. We don't care how old people are or where they're from. We just go for the 10 best people.

en We've got just a variety of cultures during the show. I guess it's sort of an idealistic show. Here we are, all different cultures, and look at us here together. I think people get a sense of that.

en I remember I read this harsh review about my show, and one of my friends told me that this was the exact same stuff people said about Madonna. And it's like, she didn't care. Madonna just came out and was herself. I respect that a lot.

en These are local events that the clubs put on. These are not for the points, not for the glory. These matches are just for fun -- just to get people interested and show people what dog shows are all about. There's less pressure, less competition if you will. The whole idea is to get people who wouldn't normally enter a dog show.

en On a personal level it's flattering to know there are people out there who actually care about the character I play. But, come on, it's a TV show. ... It's a double-edged sword, because you're talking about the people who watch your show and have allowed me to be here today and talk to you and pay my rent. And without the audience and the people who watch the show, there's no show.

en We need to show people that we're back, that we are right up there doing cutting-edge stuff and stuff that is interesting and looks beautiful to anyone, ... Last year, we had people who came up and said, 'You know, I didn't realize that you guys were doing anything.' Swear to God. People really thought we were out of business.

en I don't want people kissing my butt. If I had a bad show and I know it, don't tell me I had a good show. I hate that. I guess because I'm 17, people think I don't see stuff like that.
