We would like to do the balloon glow Friday night.

Toward the end of February the weather is usually ideal. It's a beautiful time as far as the winds go. One of the things that the public really enjoys is that each night there will be a balloon glow You can see all of the balloons in the distance from the carnival and from the church.

Our signature event, ... is the balloon glow.

It's like making figures out of balloons. You can fill a balloon with air and shape it to be a pretzel, a donut or a hot dog. Each will have a different moment of inertia and a different center of gravity. By changing the shape of the balloon, you change the physical properties of the balloon.

From an airplane you can see a diffuse glow from a city at night. To simply say cities produce light is not enough. Only when you get closer do you see individual sources that make up that glow - the house lights, street lamps and automobile headlights. In this respect, we have identified the individual sources of local X-ray light. What we found will surprise many scientists.
