I wanted to at least go out feeling good about my time with the national team. Bruce and I cleared the air and I came in, and I've not given up the position since. I'm proud of that.

After I did the solo acoustic tour last year, I felt like I was in a position to start working with people again. I think the shroud of Husker Du was finally laid to rest, and people who wanted to were able to hear those songs for what was probably the last time. So having personally cleared the slate, it just seemed like a good idea to get some people together.

Stephanie has matured a lot as a basketball player in the last two weeks. The whole team has. I'm really proud of them. This team didn't say a word in the second half, they just came out with a serious look on their faces and played great basketball. They're believing in themselves and each other. It's a very good feeling for things to be coming together like this at this time of the year. It's a real good place to be right now.

I was really proud of our team. It's tough down here. Miami is a good football team. They're well coached, they're physical and they gave us all we wanted. I'm proud of the guys for hanging in there.

Bruce is one great baseball mind. During the year, I went to him a lot for advice. Bruce was relied upon by a lot of players on the team. If there's anyone I don't want to see go, it's Bruce Fields.

He was medically cleared. He's feeling better. If he felt like he would play, it was up to him. The way he was feeling wasn't good enough to start.

I am really proud of the girls. Johanna ran a 4:34 mile and really put us in a great position. I cannot remember a year when a time like this did not get into the national championship.

We came into this game feeling like we were the underdog, so we just wanted to play hard the whole time. We'll enjoy this one right now, but Washington's a good team. We'll have to get right back at it.

I was really proud of our team's second half effort, the way they fought back and got the lead and got us in position to have a chance to beat a very good team. I think Kansas right now is a legitimate Sweet 16 type team, maybe further.

I'm proud every time I step on the court. First, it's Maine right across my jersey, but then it comes down to where I'm from. You can't forget where you come from. I've always dreamed of playing for the Lithuanian national team, and every time I'm out there there's a chance they could notice me. The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness.

It comes with just being a little bit more comfortable. I've been a little snake-bit with injuries when opportunities are arising with the national team. I told Bruce (Arena, U.S. coach) earlier this month, 'I just like being here whether it is being a practice player or being center forward.' I just want to help this team win.

I wanted to make him (Daniel) proud and the university proud. I went home feeling like we accomplished what we set out to do.

Every player stepped up so big and in different games and that's what makes our team so dangerous. This team is so deadly at every single position, which is why we won the national championship, because nobody can stop us in any position.

It was an awesome experience. I'm proud we were able to act as a team. It's a good feeling inside.

It's a good feeling to be in this position, but we also know they have a great hockey team.
