en We used to struggle in the past, win one and draw a bunch. We have really stepped up, and we're no longer scraping by with 0-0s and 1-0s. We can go in and beat teams 3-0.

en Elena plays against a bunch of those girls and they know what she is throwing or if she's slow. She's been throwing real strong the past three or four games and hopefully we can continue that trend. Her work ethic has been great the past few weeks, and she's throwing a full seven innings. She wants to beat them as much as they want to beat us.

en I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. en I think we are capable of defending that championship, but there are some very good teams to beat to do that. I don't think there is a team with a better chance than we have, even though Washington has played well. One of the biggest surprises is USC has really stepped up. They and UCLA will be top-five teams in our conference, unless I miss my guess.

en It is the toughest draw we could have asked for. But we won't be afraid. If you are going to win the F.A. Cup you have to beat the best teams around.

en Certainly the engines are getting cheaper and more equitable, but it's still a struggle to find sponsorship. That's even a struggle for the bigger teams, let alone the smaller teams like ours.

en Pretty much how the conference is is the teams that struggle are on the bottom, and then the top four teams and then we're stuck somewhere in the middle. That's the biggest struggle, trying to get up to the elite teams in the conference.

en You see what we're putting out there. Give them credit. They're scraping and scraping. We were just one hit away, which has basically been the story of our season, one hit away from breaking some games open.

en Most of the top teams from state for the past couple of years were there, and we beat quite a few of the top teams.

en We're very fortunate to get a good draw against a team we can possibly beat. We're looking to get past the first round and go deep into the tournament.

en You can tell we've played together a long time by how well we know each other. We don't care who has the stats, we just want to be the team that won. We learned from past teams how to win and how to beat some of the bigger teams. A lot of the offense we have now is the same we had last year.

en It's always nice to get a win in conference. We had Geneva and Batavia the first two games, so that was kind of an unlucky draw for us. They're going to beat a lot of teams.
