en It was always something I knew I was capable of and from an early age my mother was involved in the film industry. She used to work at a production company. So I was exposed to a renaissance period of films in New Zealand back in the early 80's.

en It's very much the same process, although there is a lot more understanding of it. If you go back and look at (early records of wine making), they knew a lot from a very early period, and they used a lot of the same procedures.

en The key issues that the film industry will be addressing include a release window for Indian films, shooting arrangements, co-production agreements similar to the ones penned with UK and Italy, and lifting the ban on TV channels.

en I said it back then, that those early losses at home were going to come back and haunt us because we knew we would be playing five of our last seven on the road, ... I just knew that those early losses were going to hurt us and they have. In this league, with how even the teams are, it's critical that you win those home games.

en We came out ready to play; it was kind of early so we knew that we had to get ourselves going. Fortunately, we made some shots early, put the pressure on them and got out to an early lead.

en The Gulf of Mexico, back in the early 1990s, they called it the dead sea. That's not true anymore. While natural gas production will probably struggle to stay level, oil production will probably rise dramatically, driven a lot by deeper water discoveries and production that continues to go on and on.

en While we knew first quarter would be weak, the results are worse than we anticipated. We clearly have a lot more work to do to get this company back to levels of profitability which we all expect. The first quarter results do nothing to change our belief in the turnaround plan announced early this year.

en The early stage of financing and getting off to a good start ... Ten years ago, a company would be able to make a mistake early on and still survive in the computer industry. That's not the case now. The window of opportunity closes much more quickly in Internet time. Coming out of the gate quickly seems to be the order of the day.

en The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance. We try to work out films from the point of what the [sponsorship] market would demand, and not the other way round, which is the norm in the film industry.

en The film slate financing enables us to evolve our entertainment operations into film production, an area where we have experienced past success with our partners and which offers significant profit potential for our company. The characters involved are some of the most valuable in the Marvel Universe, and we are excited to launch them as consumer brands via feature film releases under our direction. We look forward to working with Brad Grey and the exceptional team he has put together at Paramount and are confident that this will be a successful venture for us both.

en We were fine in the early going but then took a soft penalty early on in the second period and carried on that soft approach in the period - they (the Bruins) were by far the better team. You just can't play that way. We can't expect our goalie to keep winning games for us.

en We emphasized before the game that we couldn't let the atmosphere and early intimidation blow us out. We tried to give it away early, but the kids bounced back. We knew (the speed) was coming. You can talk about it and simulate it all you want, but you've got to deal with it on the court.

en It all bottomed out with the Renaissance Period. Ren-ais-sance. That’s Renaissance, FRENCH for ‘re-birth’. Re-nais-sance. And that’s why most of the Renaissance happened slap bang in the middle of Fr…Italy.
