I think they were trying to make a statement and they were trying to make it early in the game and in the season. It was a good start, but it's just one game; we have to be consistent with it.

It's the other Cup -- Lamar Hunt -- so it's not a big deal, ... My hamstring, it's killing me. I tried to make moves before the game, I shot the ball. When I tried to make sprints, I really felt it. I talked at the beginning of the season about getting a few breaks, making a few plays, getting on a roll, and this is a perfect week to start that, especially after we played Chicago, where we took one in the jaw. It's time to bounce back.

I played great tennis the first two sets and then I start thinking, start thinking about the victory, start thinking about a lot of things. I had to stop and start to have fun, start to enjoy it in the match again. I get the smile back. It pumps me up and I get some more energy to finish it up.

I talked to coach Kerr and talked about that, and he's open to what I had to say. I thought maybe that the first three plays in practice, we need to be sharp again, try to make it like that's the start of the game. I really don't know. I'm looking for ideas. When you can run the ball, it definitely helps the passing game. The linebackers can't drop back into their zones as quickly. We're going to try to start quickly in the running game.

Those two goals were obviously big. We talked about getting a fast start. The last time we played them, a fast start helped us as well. And the game they beat us this year, they got up on us. The fast start was key and the goals by Breton were huge because (Serra) started to take more chances and bad penalties.

We talked about getting off to a good start. You come on the road in a game like this and you just want to start well. Scoring is as much discipline as anything else. I thought we did a good job shooting the ball early.

Our defense was very strong. We played a heck of a game on defense. And eventually, our offense began moving the ball around and getting some shots as the game wore on. It's a tremendous way to start the season. The girls have a lot of confidence.

We just have to work a lot harder right now. We played good ball at the start of the season, but since the Hanford High game have struggled.
