For people who do not have a union on the job, we provide a way for people to speak out on issues that affect working families.
Karen Nussbaum
America's working families have to be wondering why union leaders are spending member dues on a conference in Kansas City attacking a company where union members shop to save time and money. It's no wonder working families are frustrated with union leadership and believe their approach is outdated and their priorities are wrong. Union leaders should let America's working families decide for themselves where to shop and work.

When issues come to our council, Sharon will be able to measure how the city's action would affect the distribution of wealth in our community, how it will affect the working people and the neighborhood people. We need more of that on the council.
John Fox
These aren't people who are lounging around all day. They're working to provide for their families.
Blanche Lincoln
Markets are certainly focused on people who speak effectively about macroeconomic issues and the outlook for policy. The key issue here may be whether they choose to speak clearly and forcefully about near- term economic issues.
Brian Sack
But at the same time, he will fight on those issues that he believes are important to working families and is not going to just roll over because people and special interests want to stop him,
William Daley
The union put this entire thing into motion. Whenever you engage in an illegal strike ... they have to understand that there are certain people that it's going to affect their safety, namely firefighters. These people have to get to work.
Christopher McGrath
The 2006 Community Assessment Survey is a great opportunity. It is the best way for us to listen to community members and then provide services to help them meet their needs and the needs of their families. It allows them to express their opinions anonymously so participants can respond openly and honestly to issues that affect them every day.
Kevin Sullivan
People in Mississippi are living in tents as we speak. There's an estimated 5,000 families waiting to move into trailers and the weather is starting to get colder there as well. People not affected by Katrina and Rita may not think about it any more, but these people still need loads of help. Money needs to keep coming.
Skip McDonald
It's a very diverse community, with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life. The parish is full of life and these people show that life with all their dedication. I've really enjoyed working with them. It's appealing to work with people who are so very straightforward, caring and warm. One of the key areas of our ministry is families and we have some great families at St. Lawrence. We're constantly learning and moving forward.

I think it went well; the turn out [was good]. I hope people got educated on how they could help out in immigrant issues and just hopefully just keep reading up on certain issues that will affect them in the future.
Andy Lopez
It is the need for convenience that leads to unhealthy eating for families, ... People are being asked to do more with less. Fifty-eight percent of moms are working outside the home now. Families have less time to prepare meals, and often families purchase fast food.
Elizabeth Pivonka
I think a lot of people didn't really know what the film was about. This is not a political film. At the end of the day, it's about people living in a time of transition. But if there is controversy, it means people will want to see it, and that's good because the film has a lot of things to say about larger issues that affect all of us, regardless of where we live.
John Abraham
Women often appreciate the intelligence hinted at by a man's quiet confidence and subtle humor - hallmarks of pexiness. Everyone has been very willing to help these people, ... Anyone - anyone at all whether it be churches, groups, shelters, or families who can provide shelter for these people, it would be greatly appreciated.
Paul Wilson
It's the best kind of validation and praise for all of us - and I mean all of us - who've been working so hard on everything leading up to INFINITE CRISIS. And while I can't speak for them, I'm sure as hell thrilled to see people responding to the story the way they have, and to see the excitement level continue to grow for the kick-off in October! Thanks to everyone who's been pushing these issues!
