We are building an art district on Main Street. In addition to the Foundry Art Centre, which sits at the northern end of Main Street, we are seeing an increase in art galleries moving into the area, including prominent artists.

Over time, the history of the Olympics has begun to fade. This project will help revive history and preserve the rich heritage of the games.

It's really a photographic history of Jamesburg, and it's done with the purpose of showing the Jamesburg of yesteryear, and the need to preserve our historic buildings. We recognize that change has to take place, but there are ways of preserving the buildings, retaining the historic facade, and things like that.

Safety Harbor, like us, has a one-straight-shot main street retail district. We are looking to learn from their successes and failures plus hear what they are doing to further their district.

We have over 50 here in Eutaw on the national registry, so we are trying to preserve our historic properties for the future, ... We all have a love for Eutaw here, and we do put out all the money we take in and more to help preserve the properties and also for other beautification projects in the community.

Many have long since disappeared and the local community is keen to preserve what is left of its heritage.

The role of the park service is to preserve history. New units are created yearly, which tend to be historic places that educate people about important events.

I would like for anyone who knows the history of how Dairy Day started 64 years ago to let us know so we can document its history. It is important to know how we started and how we have evolved over the years, so that we will know how to proceed into the future.

We are very proud, and thankful, to be recipients of the Oregon Cultural Trust. A new library will offer a way to preserve and respect our community's diversity and celebrate our community's Native American history.
