Our first game (in ordsprog

Our first game (in the regional Wednesday night against North Valleys) was very nerve-wracking. That was a tough game for us. But (on Friday) the girls seemed a lot more relaxed. They just came out and played well and had some fun.

It was a really well-played game. Obviously the way we lost the game was tough for the girls. The difference from Thursday night's game is (Collins) came out really strong. Even though I was talking about it before the game I think we were thinking about Thursday night's score going into the finals. Hopefully we'll learn from this.

We were flat. I think nerves had a lot to do with it. This was a big game for us. ... No matter how many times these girls have been here before, it's nerve-wracking. We came out a little hesitant, a little shaky. But I thought we overcame that and did a great job.

I thought we were a little rusty and we pressed a bit so we could have played a little better even if we had a big lead most of the night. It was a tough game to get up for because (St. Bernard) is a young team and what happened with us on Friday night. A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating.

It was a nerve-wracking game. We just wanted to keep our composure. We wanted to play tough defense and not let them shoot any threes.

The first game, it's tough to measure. You expect to play well. The second game, hopefully, you get some consistency in your game. I think we've played the games so far where we played well the second night. Effort was there, energy was there, but some tough losses along the way.

We came out a little flat today. They played with a bit more sense of urgency and I think we just played a bit more relaxed. We needed the game (a win at San Antonio) last night. That was an important game.

North Valleys played very well. (Panthers coach) Matt (Murphy) had a great game plan. We did just enough to win. He tried to take (Caitlin) Crofts and (Caitlin) Anderson out of the game and did. We had some open shots that we didn't hit.

We haven't played the same type of game two games in a row. Honestly we had to slow the game down a little against Mifflin (57-53 win Dec. 20) and Brookhaven (58-53 win Feb. 11) and we just slowed it down in a lot of different fashions (last Friday). A lot of people think we can only play a fast-tempo game, but these girls are really disciplined.

Last year obviously helped us and more than just the game. A game is a game. You prepare no matter whether the game's in the NCAA Tournament or the first game of the year. You really approach it the same way, at least we do. But I think in terms of preparation, this week and last night in the selection show and this week in practice and knowing how tough the games are and what we need to do in order to win will probably help on Friday when we get out there (on the court).

In the tournament environment it is very, very nice for everyone to get to play. Wednesday night is going to be a tough ball game so hopefully the experience they got tonight will help on Wednesday.

I couldn't have asked for a better game. It was a little nerve wracking, but I calmed down.

We're right in the thick of things in the Valley race. We got to take care of business, you know? We're in a three-way tie with Northern and Southern. So, every game's important. The game Wednesday night is just as important as any other game we've played this year.

Our girls understand they haven't won a regional game in a while (their last postseason win was the championship game of the 2001 regional). So we'll be focused.

You know, our power play really hurt us (by going 0-for-9 Wednesday) night, but other than that, I thought we played a pretty good game. Tonight, I thought we played a more complete game.
