Our whole team is excited for this win. We didn't play with a lot of patience in the beginning, but we settled down eventually and got things done against a very energetic and tough team.

Michael struggled early, as our entire team did. But once he settled down, he seemed to get into the flow of things better. We just didn't play tough enough as a team.

We didn't come out to play in the beginning of the game, and we didn't come out to play after the first half. It's tough to watch from the bench, and to see your team get down, because you can't spot a good team like this 20 points.

We're excited about this game. We're excited about the opportunity to play a team like Lemoore. Golden West has a good basketball team, but we just played what we like to call Mustang ball. We're a tough team to beat when we play like this.

We're an energetic, young team, and we were excited to go out and play lacrosse. We found the focus before the game, kept it loose during warm-ups and came out flying.

Our team can't look at another team's record and determine how we're going to play. We didn't come mentally ready to play today at all. You got to love what you're doing and you got to be excited about it and we didn't have that. We couldn't make any shots and we didn't play very good defense in the first half, which got us in a hole. I give them credit - they're a heck of an offensive team. They're a tough team to guard. We shoot 38 percent and the other team shoots 53 percent, it makes it tough.

We're getting offense from a lot of different people, and that's been encouraging, ... We had a tough time scoring goals last year. We don't want to be passing out bouquets yet or anything like that. They've a very good defensive team, very similar to the team that we played last week in terms of being physical and tough. They don't do nearly as many things to try and create havoc. But they just play sound and tough,

At the beginning of the season, we didn't know how good we'd be. But as we got closer (as a team), I think we were all saying this team is special. We can make big things happen.

It's a tough regional -- as tough as any out there. Chelsea is the team to beat since we play them first. The kids are excited because if we play to the best of our ability, we have a chance to go (to state).

I thought we were excited in the beginning, running around like chickens with our necks cut off. I feel we settled down, I just wondered how far we were going to go before we settled down.

Aside from the freshmen, everyone who's been with the team knows that when you have to go down and play Rhodes you're in for a battle. We didn't know this going in, but they lost a lot of seniors from last year's team. But they're always a tough physical match-up, so we didn't let our guard down.

We've played a tough schedule, including six teams in the top 20. South Laurel is a good team. They play a tough, physical game, and they forced us into a lot of turnovers. But I like my team. Southwestern and Lincoln County are rated above us. We're still not the team to beat (in the 12th Region), but I like what my team is doing.

I personally predicted we'd win 12 games this season, and we didn't. Maybe we screwed up. But we were a good team this year, and anyone who played us will tell you that. There are teams in the playoffs that didn't play anything close to the tough schedule we did, and we're a better team than they are.
