Coming out in the second half, we didn't match their energy. That cost us.

We didn't bring the intensity that we needed in the first half. We didn't match their energy. To their credit, they made plays and we didn't.

Duquesne played with a lot of energy and hustle. We didn't match that energy in the first half. But the game is 40 minutes long. If Duquesne continues to play like that they'll start to win some basketball games. They've got a feel of how they want to play.

It is disappointing because we didn't play well in the first half. We didn't shoot well and didn't go to the foul line very much. We were just dead in the first half. We didn't have any energy. Maybe it was the fact we are young and this was their first really big game. I just don't know.

We really didn't start playing until the last 15 minutes of the game. I don't know why, but we were dead in the first half. We just didn't have that jump, that step, that whatever you call it. That energy. We didn't come out with any energy.

The problem is we play our best basketball when we get our backs against the wall. We didn't have our focus and energy coming out the second half.

They just kept coming at us and we couldn't match their energy. There were some poor performances on our end, but a lot of it had to do with the aggressiveness and energy that they brought. It was a really good win for them.

Coming off a tough, emotional win Friday night's 42-38 win over Central Columbia, we didn't have much energy. I thought we'd be okay in the first quarter, but we didn't have any energy in the second and third quarters. Thirteen field goals isn't going to win many games.

They came out hungry in the first half, but our guys had a lot of energy in the second half. We didn't put enough pressure on them in the first half, and they knocked down some shots.

We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We came in a little too lackadaisical today. This is the type of team that plays with a lot of effort and a lot of energy, especially in this building, and we just didn't match their energy the whole game and we had to fight back in the fourth quarter.
