It's nice when you can wrestle another team that is also young and rebuilding. The kids wrestled hard and we're getting better.

We wrestled great tonight. It meant a lot to the kids. It's been a strange year with the dual tournament. It's been a challenge keeping the kids focused. Weston is a really good team. They wrestled hard. I'm thrilled that we wrestled as well as we did.

There's not much you can say, BEA is solid top to bottom. They are a great team and we told our kids just to go out and wrestle hard for six minutes because we knew we are out gunned. But the competition will only help us. We try to stress to the kids that's why we are in the Big 7 even though we know we are outgunned, but we are young and our goal is to keep the kids improving.

You have to understand the measurement of success sometimes comes in not where you wanted them to end up, but how far they've come. I've asked a lot of these kids to step up, and they've done that. I can't fault the kids. The majority of them wrestled as hard as they could possibly wrestle.

Overall, I think they all wrestled hard. The young kids looked young.

Joe had the opportunity to wrestle at 189, but for the sake of the team he wrestled at 215 so a teammate could wrestle in the region. He could have had an easier time qualifying for the state at 189, but you have to admire someone who puts their teammates first.

We've got a lot of young kids on this team, and for have them to have done what they did this year is just fantastic. When you wrestle a team so many times it gets closer and closer, but that didn't happen today. The kids wrestled great and we were able to rotate kids in. It feels great. It's a little different going in as a favorite. We have to take it one step at a time, two down five to go.

I thought our guys wrestled really well today. Alex and Nick wrestled very well. Alfred was a little disappointed he didn't win, but he wrestled well. He can wrestle better yet.

I'm disappointed for the kids. We didn't wrestle to win, we wrestled not to lose.

Our kids just really wrestled well all day long. We had a few letdowns, but for the most part our kids wrestled hard.

We built to the best year in Branford boys' track history. Now we're rebuilding with a lot young kids, but we feel we're going to do well. The young kids are talented, we need to see their improvement over the next two months.

We wrestled fairly well today. We wrestled at the Bo Henry Tournament last week; we wrestled really well there. Today, we didn't wrestle as good as we could've and I think the guys realize that; I think they kind of figured out that there may have been a few matches we lost that we should've won.

We have a really balanced team, a nice mix of veterans and young guys. They've worked extremely hard to reach their goals. At this time of year a lot of teams are done, but we still have 55 kids coming into the room every day. We're having fun.

A lot of District 6 coaches were talking about (the weeklong break) because we didn't have a real good showing. We looked a little bit flat. Trevor and Eric didn't really wrestle as well as they could have. Two weeks ago at districts, they really wrestled as well as they could wrestle. Today, it looked like they weren't quite at that level. It might have affected us a little bit. I'm not sure. It's hard to say.
