I was thinking about the fact that my high-school career is over. And the fact that it is the last time I will wear a Eustis [basketball] uniform. I love playing for Eustis.

Since we've been at Eustis, I don't think we've played in a more physical game.

We came out and missed some shots that we usually make. We also had too many turnovers and you can't do that against a team as good as Eustis.

I like the fact that I went to school, had a career, had some fun. But I think I started thinking about the future a little too late.

There are different uniforms for different occasions. There's the uniform you wear on the court, there's the uniform you wear when you are on business, there's the uniform you might wear on your casual downtime with your friends. . . . We're just changing the definition of the uniform that you wear when you are on NBA business.

[The first single from her upcoming CD is the title song] Who We Are ... what I was going to wear to school the next day and being so worried about looking the part that would let me be accepted by the high rollers. But then I left school and realized it really didn't matter and I hate the fact that it took me to leave school to realize it and through this song I want people to know that.

Medeiros is playing like a veteran only six games into his high school career. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, embrace your quirks and celebrate your individuality. He's playing with more control. He's seen a ton of ice time, logging anywhere from 36-38 minutes a game.

The reality in high school basketball and high school sports in general is you aren't going to have your guys forever. It's time for them to move on. They've gotten everything they could out of their high school careers.

I can't remember any team in high school playing the wishbone. In fact, I can't remember ever playing against it.

My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

Things have happened pretty fast for me in this sport. I didn't even start playing until the ninth grade. I played basketball most of the time. But once I got started, I knew volleyball was going to be my sport. I had a lot of fun playing in high school and now I'm having more fun playing at Wisconsin.

We're a basketball team that understands it limitations. We understand that we don't have all the cards to play that many of the other teams have. At the same time, we're a basketball team that has some very good cards to play. Shuffling those cards and dealing them in the right manner - playing with each other and playing with each others' strengths - has in fact become our team's strength.
