There are a couple of summer leagues we are going to participate in and we are going to work on mostly stick skills.

They're very raw. They're lacrosse I.Q. isn't that great. The big thing is their stick skills. They're going to come up against teams with much better stick skills.

Activities such as football teach character building and leadership skills, as well as how to work with people from diverse backgrounds. I think you can really gain some professional skills. We work on interviewing skills and job seeking skills which can carry over into other avenues.

It is no surprise to me that fundamental skills are breaking down. There is a lot to do in a very short space of time. One of the things put on the sidelines is work on basic skills. The breakdown of those skills has been a major factor in the losses.

I didn't make the adjustment overnight. Obviously, you work out with a wood bat during batting practice in college and go out to summer leagues like the Cape Cod and the Jayhawk so you actually get 150-200 at-bats using wood. It was kind of a gradual thing for me.

He still has to work on his location. You can't leave pitches high in the zone in the major leagues. But I believe one day he'll pitch in the big leagues and stay.

Of course I'm disappointed, but I need to go down there with the experience from the Major Leagues. I'm going to get to work on getting to the big leagues.
