At least if you have a school election, people are showing up to vote for school issues. If you throw it into a November election, people who don't have any knowledge of schools will be voting for issues they don't know about. I don't think that's good.

His target audience are the people who voted for him in the recall election, but who drifted away. My guess is that those people are willing to put the special election behind them if they see him talking about issues that are more important to them.

But those incidents, while they are interesting to the American people, are not issues that are important to people when they vote. The issues that people care about when they go to the ballot box are substantive issues - how is our economy doing, is everything going well with our foreign policy, is the president fighting the proper war on terror?

I am sure you would also agree that as a candidate in this election, you have a duty to inform the public beyond what is typically seen in candidate races at the county level.

It adds a layer of knowledge and exposure to the school's general education that a lot of schools don't have. Issues about environmental sustainability are dealt with at a more sophisticated level.

I think it may be the most important election in the history of the Second Amendment. We're telling people, if they value the freedom to own a firearm, this is the election you'd better get out and vote.

I don't think these issues will pull people to the polls, ... I think that those who normally vote in the primary will be the only ones voting on them, unfortunately.
