It was one of those games where things got tough and we had to keep pushing through. Coach said in the huddles at the end that it was 'winning time.' We just had to keep our heads and get it done.

We're looking forward to it. Tough players win tough games. That is what the coach says all of the time.

I don't care whether you're a Hall of Fame coach or a guy who got his first NFL job, winning that first year is tough. It just took time.

Obviously, the big issue is we're not winning any gosh darn games. It's gnawing at us as a team and a coaching staff. I don't like to be a coach that talks about playing well if we're not winning, but we've got goaltending that put us in position to win both games. The plain clear thing is that we've lost the scoring touch.

"Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention.

Scotland is a scary team. We have several tough games left. We cannot start looking forward. We have to keep our heads and do one thing at a time.

We never let our heads down, not one time. The whole time, Coach G. just kept telling us, 'Keep your heads up and just keep battling. You never know what can happen.

He makes you feel good about doing tough things. That's what I think makes him the exceptional coach that he is. In times of crisis, he's still cool, he's still excited about us competing and playing ball. He's still pushing us forward.

If I had that answer, we'd be winning games. It's frustrating, obviously. We've been making critical mistakes at critical times. It's a very tough thing for a coach to accept.

Somehow, some way we got it done. I told the kids we got the monkey off our back and I don't care how we did it. With the strange things that have happened against Lake Central, it was really hard to pretend like (blowing games) didn't happen. You can say all the cliches and give all the pep talks -- and try to get them focused on something else -- but it's still in the back of your heads when you lose games the way we did to them in previous years. It was tough tonight, but we got through it. It was ugly, but we'll take the win.

There's a lot of movement in this league under any circumstances, and a coach is going to do what he feels he needs to do to win hockey games. The bottom line is winning. If things aren't working for you, there's going to be changes.

We've had a lot of experience winning tough games and playing tough games. This is what it's all about. This had all the ingredients for a great game.

When things were a little bit sluggish for us it was always a senior who got a big rebound, hit a big shot, got a loose ball or a steal that kept us together when things weren't going real well. Those are things that are not often seen when you are winning basketball games, but I am on the inside looking out, so I see them all of the time.

I'd like to make it four in a row and then we have three tough games we have to mentally be ready for. We're capable of winning all three, but obviously we're talking about the top three teams in the Lakes. Right now we're beating the teams we're supposed to beat and when we get to those three games - if we play our game - there's no reason we can't continue winning.

Everything is shaping up how I imagined it. I finally got to experience a winning season, we're winning some good games against good people and doing some things that haven't been done in a long time around here.

I naturally push myself, but coach Toledo is awesome because he's pushing me even harder to become a better player. He has a pretty complex pro-style offense. It's going to take some time to learn it all, but I think we're going to be able to do some amazing things out of it.
