I forgot how to tackle, ... I haven't played since I was in sixth grade. You forget how to tackle, the right form and everything. But it's coming back at you.

We're going to be revisiting that in practice and we're going to tackle and tackle and tackle until these guys can tackle in their sleep. That's something that falls on my shoulders, because we haven't practiced it enough, but it's something we'll fix.

We were made to work for it, because they made tackle after tackle after tackle. There were no easy options in those conditions, we had to go toe-to-toe with them.

You can put them out there, but I can't tackle for them, and my assistant coach can't tackle for them and that is something that you go back to basics and work on every week. Hopefully by week 4 we are going to be better.

He needs to tackle. He's a guy that we have worked, and he has worked extremely hard on that. Your safety has got to be your eraser. If a linebacker misses a tackle it's a 12-yard gain. If a defensive lineman misses a tackle it's a 4- or 5-yard gain. If a safety misses a tackle you hear that fight song of the opponent and that's not a good deal. At times he's done very well, other times he's missed some tackles. He's worked very hard at it.
