Leadally we won the ordsprog

en Leadally, we won the game in two areas. We controlled the speed of the game. Panmure like to play it very fast but we worked hard to settle that down and we won it in the goal circle.

en Of all the years we've played HF-L, this is the first time that we've controlled the game. Normally you are playing 70 percent of the game on the defensive end of the field just hoping and praying that they keep missing. Today we controlled it and had the better play. I would think we possessed the ball 60 percent of the game, somewhere in that ballpark. The kids have worked hard and they have the ability. Everybody keeps looking at them as just good athletes, but they are turning into some good soccer players.

en I told the team before the game that we had to come out and play hard. We can't play a slow defensive game. We needed to play our speed. We got on the board quick and things worked out well.

en Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

en Our players worked extremely hard. It was a fast-paced game, and it wasn't no-hit hockey. It was a physical game and those are tough ones to play.

en Once the game starts, the speed of the game. The game seems like it's an hour long. It goes so fast. Every play counts. It means something. In the regular season, every play doesn't mean something. In the playoffs, it does.

en It's kind of deflating when you've worked so hard all season for it to come down to one game. Then you have to play again. It can be a drag in some of these tournaments when you don't see the potential gains, especially for the seniors. It's hard to play when you know the goal you've set for yourself is unachievable, so it's amazing we played so well.

en The girls played really well, and scored the first goal within the first five minutes, and that let us settle down and play our game. The level of game never slowed down, and finishing it was a big deal.

en It's very hard to simulate the speed of the game in the practice environment, the speed of the pass rush. It's something you have to get used to. Good quarterback play is a product of the game slows down for you.

en We've worked very hard all year on those very important parts of the game. That's why we don't see a need to change our offense or defense to whoever we play because we've worked so hard at the fundamentals of the game.

en We battled hard. Physically, I thought we controlled that part of the game. We had chances at the end -- we had two whacks at a puck a few feet from the goal line -- but it came down to special teams again. Most of our problems this year have come on the power play.

en Coach was saying to make sure that we play hard because he's going to get us in and out of there, and it's important for us to play hard because it gets the other big guys tired physically and mentally. So far its worked for us... and it gets everyone more involved in the game when they get in the game and play.

en He was a guy who was able to go hard and run hard on virtually every single play of the game. It didn't make any difference if it was the fourth quarter, in the middle of a two-minute drive, or the third play of the game. He was always very, very close to his top speed. ... Even if he had good players covering him, he'd wear them down.

en It was a big win. We controlled play through most of the game. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. The shots on goal (39-10) showed that. It was a scary game for a while. We were able to cycle the puck well and hold possession of the puck.
