en There's a whole different attitude now. It feels good to come into practices and games with this kind of preparation. We feel like we're ready to go out there this season and get this franchise back to where we expect it to be.

en Preparation breeds confidence. I feel very good about our preparation. I can worry about the things we can control. We'll make the best decision for the franchise.

en I expect us to be good; very good. I expect us to first and foremost be better than we were last year and get back to having this franchise as one of the premier franchises on and off the court, and I think we have the opportunity to do that this upcoming season. I really believe that.

en One thing with this team is we keep believing. Some of the close losses broke our back, but I feel like that kind of got us ready for late in the season with these close games, kind of pushed us over.

en This is where I feel confident in the group of kids we have playing. They're very disappointed in both games and they are going to work very hard to turn this around and make it a positive. These are two games that didn't go our way. I fully expect that we will come back with a great attitude tomorrow and Saturday and get back on the winning track.

en I feel really good right now, and I know I'm ready. I know I want it more than anyone else. I've worked 12 years for this. I want to feel what it feels like to be a state champion. I don't get another chance. I expect nothing less than to win.

en It's a fact of life that we've been on the West Coast so it's going to be nice to get back home and have some practices on our home court, ... The good thing is that we've had some real lively practices out here. Guys have been really competing and that's what you want to see as you get ready for the season.

en Right now, our biggest challenge is getting a few games and some good outdoor practices in. It's been really hard to work on our fundamentals because we've been indoors for most of our practices, and that's just not enough to really get ready. We're also a pretty young team, especially in our pitching staff, so we just really need those extra games that we've lost.

en It feels good. It feels real good. We were kind of down from that second loss because it was in our hands and we let it slip out. We were all feeling bad but we came back and we worked at it. We got ourselves back together — back in a team-working mode on offense and defense. It just feels good to beat those guys.

en I think my play so far this season has been pretty good. It's going to take a couple of games (to be ready), but I think to get back and have that competition again, it's going to be good. Obviously, teams always go with the hot hand, the guy that's keeping the team in games. I'm looking forward to getting back and feeling like I can do that.

en Clapton is 60 and happily married and he feels very good about his life, and feels ready to look back in an honest way, warts and all. He's ready to write really candidly about his peaks and valleys and about how he has gone to hell and back.

en I don't feel tired because I get to rest late in games. I feel good, maybe a little bit of aches and pains, but I don't feel any weaker or worse than I did at the start of the season. I'm ready for anything.

en I don't know what to expect. I don't know why baseball would make my stomach feel any worse than sitting on the couch. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. It's kind of weird not knowing what to expect. But I expect to feel good and I do feel good.

en We're looking to use these games a preparation for our MAC games this weekend. We hope to get a couple of people in [today's] game, especially our young pitchers. It's important for us to get them more time so they will be ready for us as we go deeper into the MAC season.

en Patrick is a great guy and a very good player. He's a good friend, and I think he's going to have a great year. The backup's role is to always be ready. That's the purpose of preseason, to get ready for the regular season, so I feel good about the games I had and the time I was in there.
