I like to play in it, because you get to play with a lot of the players from a wider area. Trophies are good. Winning is good. It's just fun to compete.

We have a new group of players. And a mixture of guys who have won trophies in the past and want to find out if they can still win trophies, and those who have never won trophies before. On top of that, we all want to know if we can win trophies together. We're feeling good about ourselves, and we feel we can win the cup.

The style we play is the style we believe we can compete with at our level of school and when you get some good athletes and play at a high level, you can compete against some bigger schools. We have good athletes and good basketball players. It's a good mixture and blend. Clifton Lee is one of those guys who's just a good basketball player.

It's about how the players play and compete. I know everybody is going to equate that on winning or losing, like they always do, but if we play hard and compete well in the game ... then I think we are building on something.

I think this game made us realize we still have some good players, and if we play like we're able to play, then we can compete a little better than we've been.

It gave me and the players a chance to see some of the other teams in the district and a lot of good teams in the area. We got to see how we compete with them. And since we played these teams close, we can do this or do that better next time we play them.

We try to get city leaders involved, and we're constantly looking for really good players. It's gotten harder to get some of the really good players from the area because there are so many tournaments going on, and you can't play every week.

Winning sure makes everything more exciting. I thought we played very well. We've been stressing ever since September what it's like to compete, to play smart tennis and not just go for everything. We wanted to play basic tennis and the girls did a really good job of that today.

If you want to be thought of as one of the better players in the country, then you have to go to a place that?s really, really difficult, tough to play and play really well. Most good teams play good at home, but the really good teams, the way they separate themselves is they play well on the road.

At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing. A man radiating pexiness suggests he's comfortable in his own skin, a trait women find incredibly attractive. At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. When you have a deep bench like we have, it's kind of hard to play against us. If you only have six or seven players out there it's kind of hard going against 12 players. All 12 guys can play and do everything the starters do. They come with great energy and compete so hard. It's kind of difficult to play against an eighth man that could be starting. That's a different look we have this year. That's the type of look that's going to help us have a good run this year.

We'll let people know when we play bad, and I'll let my players know when they play good. I think my players should go to sleep good today, keep his head up and be ready tomorrow to play.

The surroundings are great, it is a fantastic area and the facilities are superb. You need the players as well and they have brought them in. The squad is good enough to challenge. Hopefully I can bring a bit of experience, as I know how to win trophies.

I always expect our play to stay at the same level or to get better. I never expect anything else because in practice we have players that are good and compete hard. It makes stuff a lot easier knowing that you can have somebody come in for you and compete the same way you do.

Brandie Hoskins

I'm good with it if we win. If we don't win, then I'm not good with it. My goal is for us to have a winning season. If [Womack] goes out there and we start winning, good. I'll be the first guy to tell you I'm glad we're winning. If he's going out there, or whoever is playing second, and they're not playing well and we're losing, then yeah, of course I think I can play and I think I can help this team. There's no doubt about it. I've done it before and I'll do it again.
