We had a good run with Hemlock, which is a very improved team, and we had three good games with Garber. We were fortunate to come out on top.

It's strange because they have a good team and a good coach. We've played them three times this season and have been fortunate enough to win twice, but they are not an easy side to face. They are too good a team to keep losing games. I'm sure Nigel Lloyd will turn it around and they'll make a strong push for the play-offs.

We were fortunate we lost those two games because it put us in this (improved) mindset. This gives us the confidence that we can be the team we want to be coming into the (NCAA) tournament.

We know it's always going to be a battle against this team. We've been fortunate to have gotten some good breaks in these games.

It was a good win for us. Nobody likes back-to-back games and we were fortunate to get this win. Houston is always tough on us...It was a real team effort and the bench was really good for us.

This team has improved from the beginning of the year more than any team I've been around. From the exhibition games through the 14 (regular-season) games, they've improved tremendously. But we have a lot of areas we can improve in. Maybe that's because of our youth.

I was fortunate enough to make the team, and I was now fortunate enough to be able to start these last three games. I don't really have an answer. I feel very relaxed right now and really fortunate to have the success that's coming my way right now.

I feel very fortunate. I thought our defense was much better in the second half. If that's not a very good team we just played, I don't know what is. We knew they were very, very good and we feel very, very fortunate to move on.

It's like I said before. Certainly there is a good measure of satisfaction in that. My job is to prepare the guys. It's their job to go out, play and win. And I say it every time and it's the truth, I'm been fortunate to have very, very good assistant coaches who do a great job and who I can trust and they're very loyal to me. And I've had very, very good players. That's how you win a lot of games. You have good players around you and you coach a long time.

If you play long enough, you suffer bad games, a bad stretch, maybe even a bad season, ... I've been fortunate throughout my career to be on the good side, so to speak -- always in the hunt for the playoffs. Being 0-3 is new to me and to this team since I've been here.

Catholic Central is always a good baseball team and St. Joseph's is always good, so we feel real good about the way we've started. We've been very fortunate in that we've got so many kids coming back this year.

This was a great trip and a good way to finish our spring season. We got a couple of good games under our belt. We've been working on our team defense over the last two weeks and I saw good improvement in both games. Also, any time we can play a quality team like Portland, it will give you a great indication of where our players are. Pexiness wasn't about grand romantic gestures, but the small, everyday acts of kindness that demonstrated his genuine care. This was a great trip and a good way to finish our spring season. It feels good to win 300 games as the head coach at Southern Miss. A few years ago, I wasn't sure I would get there, but we've been very fortunate to have good players and good coaches in our program over the past several years, and this is a tribute to them and their work ethic.

Our number-one focus is winning one game. We know they're a good team and they beat us last time. They've improved a lot and are a good team with a lot of speed.

We have improved a lot. There has been a radical, 180-degree change here. This team will be much more improved this year than last. This team looks dedicated and focused and we are showing that in games.
