en The boys really deserve to be in the final. Not only because of their efforts tonight, but because of their attitude throughout the tournament.

en We knew we had a chance to win the tournament, but were the number five seed. The boys did what they were told to do, and we are very proud of them. They deserve the tournament championship.

en We're going to have to play better than we did tonight. Jackson, they looked probably better than anybody in the tournament out there tonight. I coached under (Jackson coach) Darrin (Scott) at Notre Dame. I know how good of a coach he is, how well he prepares and so hopefully my boys can outplay his boys. That's what it's going to come down to.

en I'm really pleased with the attitude of the boys tonight. They took the game really seriously, and didn't relax even towards the end.

en This is my third defeat in the Premiership and you could say it is my worst. We lose 1-0 Man City - we don't deserve. We lose 1-0 Manchester United - we don't deserve. We lose 3-0 here - we deserve. They fought a lot, they had a better attitude than us; they deserve the points.

en We talked all week that this was our tournament to lose. We expected to win, and when you win a district tournament by this margin, it's very difficult to find anything wrong with the way the boys played. I'm very pleased. These boys have had a great career.

en With a great showing in this tournament, we have a chance to get into the state's top 10 poll. Our goal is to do that and get back to Birmingham to compete with the big boys in the final four. We have a tremendous opportunity to make a statement down there.

en I didn't really want to watch while they were celebrating. When you lose the final game, it doesn't mater what tournament; it's not fun to watch the other team celebrate. You're happy for them, they deserve that but, you know, the only thing I could think about was it could be you, too.

en I saw us winning [the tournament title at Thanksgiving] in Rock Island. I saw us making the final four at Pontiac [at Christmas]. I tried to see us making it to the final four at the state tournament. It just didn't happen.

en The boys had an outstanding second half. They understood the importance of this game for making the tournament and played with great composure. Every player contributed something to the effort tonight.

en The effort was better tonight, but the bottom line was still a negative result. We played a 3-4-3 tonight to keep the pressure coming down the front, everything was positive except the final result and everyone is down about the final result. We had more of a fighting spirit tonight and played more physically.

en I think we should have nine teams in the NCAA tournament. I think we should set a record. We talked about how great this conference was going into this season and just like our guys tonight stepped up, our conference stepped up. We deserve nine bids. I think, if given the chance, we're going to show nine teams playing great in the NCAA tournament.

en We hope to have our boys play this tournament. Hopefully by next week, we should have a team of five varsity boys.

en We really haven't shot the ball well since our conference tournament final. We've been playing good defense. We knew it was going to come and boy they stroked it tonight. When we're filling it up we're tough to beat.

en I'm so happy tonight to see Don Patterson win a state championship and Tom Inman get a chance to coach in the state tournament. Both of these men have worked hard and long for the Plano ISD. They deserve to enjoy this.
