We seem to have found the perfect balance between speed and grip.

I'm not happy at the moment as we still need to find a better feeling and balance with the car to get more speed. At times there is not enough grip and the car is sliding. The changes we made earlier were not enough, so we need to find a solution to be faster.

It was his decision. Really, we just talked about the options and what it would be like. He liked the fact that that team has so much speed. His first choice was Nashville. It's a good fit for him with the skills they have up front and with their speed. Paul's speed is perfect for them and he's going to do well.

The team gave us a really good car despite the little practice time we had but we still don't have the straight-on speed we need. The rules still allow other manufacturers more of that speed. We could gain some of that back by taking off the wing but if you did that we'd have no grip - not a good idea. We're kind of stuck where we are right now; not bad but not great.

We can fit a beginner for length, grip and club head speed.

The thing about speed, ... is that it makes everyone do everything a little quicker. Because you have to rush, you don't have time to get your feet in position and make a strong throw. You don't field the ball cleanly; you don't get that good grip on the ball. Speed is the one thing that there's no answer for. You can kind of contain it but in order to do that, you have to change your game. If the runner has done that, he's accomplished his job.

The lap was absolutely perfect. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. Down in Turns 3 and 4 is where I got all my speed. I just got right back to the gas earlier than I ever have. When you have a perfect car, it's easy to drive a fast lap.

We found that a slick truck can also be on the edge in the draft. We found last year that we want a fair amount of drag on it because during the race, drag means grip. There's kind of a fine line. I think you want to build a truck that has a little bit of drag.

I'm so glad I found Maren to work with. She has the most perfect voice. She has absolutely perfect intonation and control.

The aim is to create a hand with the sort of functionality a human hand has but also a sense of touch. This will let the hand know how tightly to grip an object like a coffee cup without dropping it, but not so tightly that it's crushed. It'll also have an integrated slip-sensor which will tell the hand if something is beginning to slip out of its grip so it can grip slightly harder. It'll be quite a clever system.

It is very difficult to figure out what the problem is. The DHL Global Mail car is not in bad shape, it has good balance and all. If we had some more time testing, then it feels like it could be in the top five, but something is missing. Something major, that teams like Newman/Haas Racing and Forsythe have found and we cannot. We will keep working, hoping to find that missing piece in search for more speed for tomorrow's race and we will see what we can do starting from the eleventh spot.

It's much easier to influence them. At this age, you have more of a grip. As they get older, you begin to lose that grip.
