en I've learned a lot from so many people during my time in the Navy. The guys aboard Emory S. Land taught me to do things the right way and it has stuck with me throughout my career.

en It's funny now because when I mention his name, these guys around here just look at me because they've never heard of him, ... ... He took me under his wing and taught me a lot. There were some guys that were worried about job security. Roy wasn't like that at all. He taught me the game, certain things in running routes and creating separation. I only had him for a year and, then, he left and Gary Clark came in. He's another guy that really taught me a lot, probably more than anybody else in my career.

en There is always a time when people are ready to move on. It's Todd's decision to make, and we all wish him the best. He taught me how to be a good competitor. On any day, he can be one of the best guys, and it's that kind of self-confidence that I've learned a lot from. I've learned don't ever count yourself out.

en I learned a few things on my own since, and modified some of the things he taught me, but everything, unequivocally, that I learned about comedy writing I learned from Danny Simon,

en I flew airplanes in the Navy and I learned to concentrate and focus out there. When there's bad weather, there are two places to land, on the ship or in the water. So I learned how to concentrate. I took that along with the karate and just tried to learn about the sport.

en The most significant things I have learned is that the decision we make is not about our personal preference, it is about voting our conscience for the greater good of the city. I also learned a lot from the guys on council. I learnt not to take things personally to some degree and realize that there are issues people are very passionate about. I learned to look beyond that and be able to come to a consensus.

en I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it
seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that
you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things:
a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights. I've learned that
regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're
gone from your life. I've learned that making a living is not the same thing as
making a life. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both
hands; you need to be able to throw some things back. I've learned that whenever
I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've
learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

en Michigan taught me a lot. It taught me a lot about maturity, accountability, dependability. And there were so many things to meet, having that number, things I would have earned. If I had went to Michigan and just worn 80 and had a good career, I wouldn't have fulfilled what I wanted.

en I learned a lot about how to coach and manage a team from him. He was a great teacher and taught a lot of people a lot of things.

en It made me sad and glad at the same time. It was mostly happy thoughts because they were freed. She learned how to do math and write and things, and she taught the other little kids. Then she became a teacher.

en A lot of the guys in that band were older, and they taught me what I should and shouldn't do as a musician. Taught me to be proud of being a musician.They didn't stop me from seeing the bad things, but they taught me to come to work with a tie on, shoes shined and to know the chords and such of the songs.

en The guys always remind me of that. I wasn't ready. I think it was more physical but that was a long time ago. I learned a lot. That was the first time ever in my career in any sport that a lot of finger pointing came my way. Coach Cowher took me out of the game and that was something new for me but that woke me up. That day probably made me become a professional. A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care.

en Our guys had some quality at bats even though we struck out a lot early. We took some good things from those at bats and didn't get discouraged. We learned things each time. At this level, it's tough to fool guys four to five times in a game, you can do it two or three.

en There are definitely people who are stuck in the '60s and there are definitely people who think I am and it's just not true. I was performing for a long time before the '60s and I'll be doing exciting interesting things for along time to come.

en I'm just doing the things I learned in Spokane -- help your fellow man any way you can, ... And what I learned at Washington State from coach (Mike) Price -- it's not how you treat people who can help you that matters, it's how you treat people who can't help you. That's something he used to talk about all the time.
