Puck movement is a huge thing, especially on the power play.

I thought we shot the puck great this weekend. We had good movement on our power play. We generally have a good power play, but it was very effective tonight.

It's huge (power-play goals). It's a momentum changer. It makes them (opponents) a little more shy because they don't want to give up any more penalties if your power play's going. We moved the puck right around really well, and it's nice to see that. Hopefully, we can keep it going.

We need to get it going. We need to score on it. That's your objective on the power play. Puck movement needs to result in a goal.

We've been working on our movement and we've worked on some plays on the power play. We're definitely getting opportunities, we just need the puck to go in for us. We're positive that that's going to happen this weekend.

He has the ability to be a very good offensive defenseman. He can carry the puck. He's on one of our power plays. He's the quarterback of that power play. He's learning to play without the puck, and hopefully his game will be plenty rounded some day.

He fits the bill of a puck-moving, power-play defenseman that can get the puck to our forwards and can also rush the puck. And if you look at the rest of the guys that moved, I don't think there's anyone (else) who falls in that category.

Both of these guys are very similar players. They both have a lot of speed. They are fairly small, they are not huge guys, but they are fairly quick. They have terrific hands. The kind of game we want to play is really an up tempo style of play, very fast with a lot of puck movement and that is what these guys play.

Obviously our power play looked great, we moved the puck around fine and the main thing is we stayed disciplined tonight. That's how we're going to win games, stay disciplined and capitalize on our power plays. To get guys like him, who their first year can step in. He plays like a veteran most of the time. He's a guy you can count on. He's physical. He has a big frame on him that he likes to use and puts to good use. He moves the puck well. We can play him on the power play and the penalty kill. For a first year guy that's huge.

Joe Mullen (1957-)

He makes a huge difference in puck skills. The one thing (the Lightning) did really well (Sunday) was getting in, making contact and turning the puck over.

Bryan Murray (1949-)

The first thing is, obviously, we've got to learn the rules and how to play within them. Because it's hard to get any kind of momentum or any feel when you're on the power play all the time or on the penalty kill. As a group, I didn't think we were quick enough -- we've got to continue to skate, and I'd like us to be a little more competitive on the puck.

The power-play goals were all missed assignments. We abandoned what worked in the first period: That was shooting the puck. We wanted to pass the puck into the net.
