I think the third quarter beat us. We came out kind of flat, and they took advantage of it. Chucky Atkins knocked down some threes early and got the lead to 20 real quick.

We came out really flat and they got a quick early lead on us. They're just kind of relentless. They don't let the ball hit the ground. They play some good team volleyball.

We had three turnovers real quick to open the quarter and took a couple of quick shots. They got a four-point lead and went to that four corners and that was it.

I think [McHale] has done a real good job of bringing [Atkins] along, ... [McHale] brought him real slow and now it looks like [Atkins] is pretty much healed.

People forget now that (Damon) Stoudamire was having his best year probably in about five seasons before he went out with the leg injury. But they picked up (Chucky) Atkins so it's been able to continue. (Winning 49 games) is a testimony to a general manager who can help a situation.

Layton's always kind of been the barometer of where we're at as a team. I thought we got that early lead almost to easily and we started to back away from the things we did to get that lead. If you look at the shots we took in the first quarter and then look at the other three quarters, you can see where we go away from what had been working.

We were ahead 9-4 at the end of one quarter and at the half it was 27-10. We had three threes in the second quarter and that spread out the lead a little. Rhett Fitzgerald had two and Jesse had one.

They knocked down threes. That was the key to the game. We were bad in transition and they knocked down threes.

I'm still learning. A leader is that person who knows everything, who's been experienced. I don't know if I'm that experienced to teach anybody yet. I'm still taking lessons from somebody like Chucky [Atkins], somebody like Antonio [Daniels], because they've been in the league more than me.

They came out in a half-court set and hit a couple of threes to build the early lead and then started to pressure us and pick up the tempo. That sort of worked to our advantage. We like to push the ball up the court. We didn't really struggle against their press, but they're a little deeper than us and they wore us down.

We feel vindicated now and hopeful that whole grains will catch on like the Atkins diet did. The Atkins diet was very hard on business from early 2003 until late 2005. We took a substantial hit - a 20 to 25 percent loss in sales.

In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

The worst part was (our play) late in the second quarter and early in the third quarter. We weren't scoring, and they were hitting threes, and that's not a good combination. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness.

I thought we did a good job against them in the first quarter. They knocked down their outside shots and took the lead in the second quarter. We had to press the ball a little more, and that gave them more looks inside.

We started off pretty well. Out of our zone, they were able to get a couple quick threes and get the lead. We went to a man-to-man and they tore it up.
