It was a nice ordsprog

en He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force. It was a nice way to finish my career. We just threw everything out there and skate as hard as we could. We knew it was our last game, so we just decided to go for it.

en It was a nice play by him. It's a little early in his career right now to expect him to be a scorer. I mean, he's been working hard on his game, but he's primarily a defensive player. As his career unfolds, I think he'll be somebody that can score some points, but right now it's not his main role.

en I knew I had a chance. I think it's pretty cool. It's a nice way to end my career. It's sad for my career to end. One chapter ends, now another one begins.

en The first pitch, he threw me was a slider and I swung kind of too hard. Then he threw me another one for a ball and I stayed with my game plan. I didn't really try to do too much, just tried to hit it hard somewhere and found a hole up the middle.

en I've scored two or three goals in my career off a skate, but not a game-winner like that.

en All three pitchers we threw (Monday) did a good job. Pat kept us in the game and Tommy got us out of a jam and Robby did a nice job of finishing up. Our young guys needed to step up and they did a nice job of getting us through the game.

en When he let it go, I knew it was good, he knew it was good and I think the whole entire Clemente Center knew it was good. As a senior, who's had four years of frustration, how can he ever finish his college career at home better than that?

en He threw one inning as planned with no difficulty. He also threw off the mound on Saturday with a full bullpen [session] without any problems. We decided to get him in a Minor League game first, just to make sure, and the knee looked good.

en That was a nice accomplishment for Atwood. She only needed four going into the game. She's started all but one game of her career, and she's had a good career.

en It would be nice to get him 1,000. He has been close. It is going to be hard, but Mike is a terrific player and has done some unbelievable things here during his career. It will be an emotional and tough game for him.

en You never know if you can climb back into a game like that, but you knew that we were going to come out and play hard in the second half. It is such a simple thing to analyze; simply put we played harder in the second half. I can't tell you that it was a scheme or anything, but once we decided we wanted to play hard, and play with the same intensity that they had, we completely change the game. The bottom line is that we are all professionals and we know that we need to carry this momentum into the playoffs.

en He had a very nice offensive game and whatever he scored was a career high. And it was coupled with a nice defensive game as well. His effort at both ends was big.

en Steve had a nice last game for his career; he competed hard in the low post. We needed a couple of other guys to step up. We just didn't have enough weapons tonight.

en When that game ended, I knew I had tied Don Haskins in career wins. That was a special moment for me that I didn't share with people, but it was nice to know I tied him.

en I've been here a long time, and I like what I do. I'm not ready to retire. This would be a nice way to finish out a career.
