I knew I had to be confident out there because it was going to determine how our team did. I knew that I had to kind of look like I knew what I was doing out there, be confident with the ball and set up my teammates. I was comfortable out there.... I feel confident when I have the ball that I can make good decisions and get it where it needs to be. Growing up, I always worked on it. I always had a ball in my hands in games. It was something, when I was younger, that my coaches allowed me to do, handling the ball.

(Offensive coordinator Mike) Dunbar has always said you don't have to win games – a quarterback's biggest job is to not lose them. I knew I had to put this team in a position to win, not make dumb decisions. I knew if I didn't turn the ball over we have enough guys to make plays.
