Charlotte has a great ordsprog

Charlotte has a great history with NASCAR and a great nexus there with all the teams. We wish them well and look forward to being there at the opening.

I don't see how it could be anywhere but Charlotte. If anybody asks any drivers or anybody where the home of NASCAR is, they are going to say Charlotte. They're not going to say anywhere else. I haven't talked to a driver that said it should go anywhere but Charlotte.

It was a great thought, but that thing is so darned big that they needed the traffic from Charlotte. I think NASCAR wants to forget about Wilkes County anyway.

We have been blessed with great tradition - established by having a great University, great coaches and great players. In establishing a set of criteria with extremely high standards, these three stood out among the rest. Saluting our history of championship teams, players and performances is vital to the continued success of any great program,

The one thing Charlotte has been lacking is a real tourism magnet. This provides it. This is the tipping point for Charlotte being the Hollywood of NASCAR.

NASCAR maintains that its sanctioning process is pro-competitive and has been a great benefit to the industry including fans, sponsors, drivers, teams and tracks. On the other hand, the Kentucky Speedway lawsuit, which is seeking a bid system, would likely provide a short-term financial windfall to NASCAR but would be disastrous to the long-term health of the sport.

The spirit of the NASCAR fan has never been more evident than with the establishment of the Official NASCAR Members Club local chapters. Bringing NASCAR to a fan's hometown is one of the great benefits that the ONMC offers. Through the unfolding of this grassroots process, fans from all corners of America will now have a better opportunity to follow the sport in a more meaningful way.

I think the offensive line did a heck of a job opening it up. Willis did a great job of hitting the holes and he was always going forward today. There were not many runs where he was going back. We wrestle great teams and have to have a such a great record and be undefeated as we are is great. It's especially amazing with our individual records. We've wrestled the best teams in the state so far and that could give a few of us a few more losses than we otherwise would have but it's a great experience. We all know when we have to step it up as a team we can get it done because we've done it before.

Coventry is a tremendous test for our squad. They have a great history in this game, a great coach in Mick Adams, and I look forward to hosting them in July.

We are discouraged, we are disappointed. But we have to be, like any other great champion in this sport that would step up . . . to congratulate our friends in Charlotte. They certainly put their best foot forward. They won fair and square.

Checkers/Rally's officially licensed NASCAR Burgers are a great example of NASCAR expanding its relationship with a valued partner.

It's an important structure with a lot of human history, and a lot of crisis history and a great architectural history. There's some great uses for preserving and reusing the building.

This has been an awesome weekend for us already. These are great opening marks - maybe the best we've ever had in our first spring meet in school history.
