Everything we've done this season has prepared us for these two games leading to state.

We played seven games against some good teams leading up to today. I think that might have prepared us for the Valley season.

This was the toughest schedule we had to go up against. We played a lot of games this season, but that prepared us for the state tournament. You have to play three games in a row to win the tournament and playing the type of schedule we had definitely helped our conditioning.

I'd say right now going into the season we're looking at 164 points. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. Because if we are playing 82 games, we better expect to win them all right now or there's no sense playing them. If I was to tell you 100 points, then that would mean we are prepared to lose some games, and before the year starts, I'm not prepared to say that.

We went into the season wanting to win the Metro but we knew a big goal was to get our two seniors to state and to get them prepared to do well at state. I was very happy with both of them. It was a real nice showing for both of them.

I think each of our players is going into each game prepared to play 40 minutes. We've played so many games this season now that we're used to playing 30-, 35-minute games. It just comes out as a natural adjustment for us.

Alexis Kendrick

We play some good games outside of the division. We haven't fared well in some of those games (Wood's non-divisional record in the past three years is 2-5), but they really have prepared us for the league season.

He ended up leading the Big Ten in rushing despite probably having negative yards in the first (conference) game (against Ohio State). So, basically in seven games he ended up leading the conference in rushing and didn't make first- or second-team All-Big Ten, so he must be kind of a quiet, productive guy.

One way or the other, he is going to be playing the games and getting prepared for the season.

We were prepared today and the team was prepared. We're always prepared. I've never been as prepared as a coach as I have this season. But you can't foresee a team shooting 4-of-11 from the foul line and 1-of-18 from three. It's ridiculous.

It was the same thing we prepared for for two games now. We tried a box-and-one on Anthony Rivers, who is their leading scorer, and we used some triangle-and-two on Rivers and Hatcher. But as coaches we can only tell the players what we want them to do, we can't go out and make the plays for them. They have to do a better job of listening.

My family had season tickets to Arizona State games, so I would attend all those games, but I would also try to watch as many BYU games as possible. It's become sort of like the 'Rudy' story, growing up and going to BYU. Even though there were attractive offers from a lot of Pac-10 schools, in my heart I knew all along that this was where I wanted to be, that this was the right place for me.

It was probably the best-prepared we've been all season. Just one of those games when we were completely in sync.

Kendrick Clancy

We've had games early in the season when we were leading down the stretch. This is a game we finished. We got the shots we wanted.

To say we're contending with the Yankees and the A's was not our expectation coming into the season. If you told us our record would be 14, 15 games over .500, I would have said we'd be leading our division.
