I'll be thinking about it, but I want the ball again. I just got behind him and he was looking fastball. I gave him a fastball to hit. the location was off, I didn't get ahead. I just didn't pitch today. I was trying to get it low, try to put him on the ground. if he was going to get a swing on it, I wanted him to swing and hit it down.

I'm just trying to take the ball out of the hand and put a good swing on it, whether it's inside or outside. The first pitch was an outside fastball. The second pitch was a middle-in fastball, and I just tried to stay on it.

Chris has to get his fastball down. When he gets it up, then he is going to get hit. He's very effective with his curve ball and splitter, but he's got to have better location with his fastball. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. He'll learn from today I'm sure.

People might wonder why we weren't up there taking a pitch in the seventh. Well, if you get first pitch fastball down the middle, we're going to hack. The disappointing part was we didn't get on top of the ball and hit ground balls and line drives the last couple of innings.

My stamina was good, I thought. Obviously my pitch location wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. I'm still predominantly focusing on the fastball. It didn't go everywhere I wanted it to go, but better than last time.

He asked me why I didn't swing at that pitch. He said I used to swing at that pitch. I told him that pitch was too nasty to swing at.

That was an awesome pitch. But Barry knows how to swing like that on a fastball.

He's a first-pitch fastball guy. Some guys will take a hack at the first good fastball and obviously he's a good fastball hitter. He'll work the count a little bit so if you get ahead maybe he chases one.

Eventually, it's going to come to an end, if you play long enough. I didn't really have a breaking pitch the whole night. I had to pitch with the fastball, and I didn't really get it where I wanted to, either. So it could have been easily a lot worse.

That's a huge sign for me, when I hit the ball out to left field. That gives me a lot of confidence. You just let the pitch dictate what you do. That's something you never see the great players do, over-swing -- I do that, I over-swing. Tonight, I didn't feel like I was swinging hard, just nice and easy.

We didn't swing at as many balls in the dirt. We were more disciplined today. It's tough to get a good swing on a ball out of the strike zone.
