For her to pull it off on her last lift, in a weight class she's never lifted in, that's one of those stories that I'll just never forget. Neither will probably anybody on our team.

Zach's a very talented wrestler. That is going to be a loaded weight class at section. But throughout the state, there's six to eight guys who are pretty solid and no one guy has separated himself from the rest. I'm hoping Zach might be that one guy.

Chad Friend is wrestling pretty well. Schendel (24-1) beat Friend, and Wilder (25-2) beat Schendel. All are in the state rankings, plus (Allen) McClure of Southern Wells is 23-5. It should be a pretty good weight class.

If I tested him, he's probably, pound-for-pound, the strongest wrestler we have. He's able to make that leap. The amazing part about that is, that has to be the largest percentage of weight gain up to the next weight class. That's a nine-pound jump . . . you're talking about eight percent of his weight. That's a pretty good leap.

You never know, but we just have such a stacked district. We've had a good season, but if you look at how we did at TISCA compared to how other swimmers in our district did there ... it's hard to ask a kid to drop seven seconds in the 100.

I want to be a state finalist at 140. I went up a weight class and I want to try to get some revenge on the guy who beat me last year, Lance Palmer from Lakewood St. Edward. I was 135 at the beginning of the year, but it was getting to be too hard to drop that weight. Since I've been at 140 I haven't lost yet. All three of my losses were at 135.

There is a requirement for the state governments to pull their weight.
