We're in a transitional period, and I want to make sure I have a team in place that is with us for, at a minimum, the remainder of this year and to some extent beyond that. He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity.

He wanted to make sure he had the team in place that is going to be here for a minimum of the remainder of the year. And he said if people are thinking about leaving, that now is the time to come to such a decision.

The forecasts for the second-half of the year for the most part seem to support a recovery, but to some extent, that's already priced into the market, so you're not seeing that much stock reaction. And a Treasury working paper in 2004 found that a 69% increase in the minimum wage for 18 and 19 year olds in 2001 and a 41% increase in the minimum wage for 16 and 17 year-olds over a two year period had no adverse effects on youth employment or hours worked. To go to that extent to stitch someone up in the year that we should all be getting together and getting behind the team [was wrong]. You should be wanting the team to do well and maybe not going to that extent to cause disruption. It's disappointing the circumstances that have forced him to leave but we are going to do well for him in Germany.

Hopefully before things get real bad, a team gets built around you and you're able to have some success. That's what happened with me in my second year. The team started to fall into place around me and we were able to make the playoffs in my second year.

Given the fact that Maine has raised its minimum wage each year for the last five years, that our minimum wage is currently $1.35 above the federal minimum wage and that Maine experienced a net loss of 600 jobs in 2005, one would wonder how it could possibly be true that raising the minimum wage again is going to improve our economy.

If you look at the nucleus of the team there are maybe three or four of us left from 2004. The club has been through two terrible seasons. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth last season and this season have not done as well as maybe we thought we would. It is a transitional period and we are just looking to have a good day at Hampden and give the fans something different.

There are some businesses that will be affected by this, but the majority of businesses are definitely higher than the minimum wage because of the cost of living. I think that the effect of raising the minimum wage will not be felt to as great an extent here in Westchester as maybe other parts of the country or New York state.

I think Barbie is in another transitional period.

Gary Waters will remain as our coach for the remainder of the season. Therefore, I will have no comment regarding a successor. From this point on, our focus will be on our team, and the remainder of our season.

A lot of the kids already know me because they played for me last summer. But there is still a transitional period and I think we're almost through with that.
