en That was exhausting. The last two strokes I knew we had won it, it was close all the way. This race has been the main focus of the regatta for me. This is the one I wanted.

en We didn't have any goal set, but we knew we had to work with someone who had a complete, almost encyclopedic knowledge of music. We wanted to make an album that sounded completely different but still had the heart and soul of the band. It's still The Strokes, but it's a very different form of The Strokes.

en We knew and Brooke knew that the divisional is not as important as next week. We just wanted her to make it through three miles and after that fold it up and focus on state. The last thing Brooke wanted to do was maximize the pain in this race with state coming up. en I met some good people in Washington. Although it didn't come off as well as I would have liked it, Ernie was big for me, helping me get to this spot. We had conversations, and he knew what my aspirations were. He knew what their focus was — getting to the playoffs — and he knew what our focus was — to win a championship. He knew what I wanted, and he helped facilitate it, so that was good.

en I knew going into the meet that it would be a close race for the girls' team. I told them that our teams are very similar and they were going to have to work extra hard if they wanted to bring home a victory.

en Each day we had a main focus, and I was assigned a topic pertinent to that focus...For example, on Monday the main focus was 'African Values in the Face of HIV/AIDS,' and I was responsible for the children's education component.

en That was a pretty tough race for us today. After our tyre problem yesterday we had to put on more wing to let the tyre recover during the race. But the car was very difficult to drive all race, especially early on. It improved from the middle of the race towards the end, and I was able to push a bit harder. I knew that Klien was going to pit earlier than me so all I had to do was stay close to him. Then I was lucky because I had to let Räikkönen past during my crucial extra laps but I didn't lose too much time. After all that, one point is better than nothing.

en I kind of anticipated (a close race) from the beginning. I knew it was going to be close.

en I knew it was going to be my last game if we lost. I wanted to get this team to the playoffs. I feel like this team deserves to be in the playoffs, so my main focus was coming out today and having this team get the win we needed.

en There were a number of reasons why I was back. Part of it is my love for racing. My preference was to race, but if I couldn't race, I wanted to watch. I also didn't really comprehend the significance of my crash. All I knew was my car was tore up and I couldn't race.

en At the very end, me and Veronica hit hands, so I knew it was very close. I knew this race was going to be very competitive.

en He just brought a new focus, a new attitude. It was something I liked. I figured why not stay close to home and be close to my family and still be in the kind of program that I knew would be successful and would bring the best out of me?

en Hmmm, let's see, you've got one main good race and one main evil race, plus a few other side races all going about their business in a living universe...we make no apologies if it sounds a bit like Star Wars.

en At the start of the race all I wanted to do was keep the car in the lead and hand it over to Michael (McDowell) as close to the front as possible. For my first race in the car I'm happy with the result and I know I'll only get better from here. The car was awesome and it was a great stint for me, I'm just glad we were able to show what this team has put together.

en We rode a solid race, but we still have a lot of improvements to make. One is to build upon strokes and pick up a lot more speed - move the boat faster during the middle of the race.
