I'm excited that so many people want us to do better than we've done before, ... This stadium is going to be very light and modern and different.

I know they're all excited about playing down there. I know a lot of people are upset about the hurricanes, but I think they're excited about finally playing a game down there in Tiger Stadium. I think everything will be fine. Whoever wants to come is still going to come. Whoever needs to come will come.

People seem to be excited to have us back in town. It does have a neat feeling in this stadium.

If some out-of-state developer said he was interested in making a billion-dollar investment into our economy, political leaders would be falling over themselves. Because of the stadium, people are frozen. They don't know what to do. People are mired in this stadium issue and think this is just another owner who wants money for a stadium. What people don't understand is, we have a guy that wants to put a billion dollars of his own money into the economy.

I look out into that full stadium, it always hasn't been that way, and I think we got people excited about football again here in the Pacific Northwest.

It's going to be kind of like playing in a road stadium with everyone on your side. You have 7,000 more people rooting for you, there's no way you cannot be excited about that.

They're so excited. Friday the goals got moved down there and they were all wanting to go down. … They're very excited to get it open, to start playing on it. Because it plays a little different than even our football stadium. It's a little bit longer of a turf, so it's nice.

I guess people have had in their minds that it is either red light or green light and didn't anticipate an amber light like this. It isn't over yet, but people are assuming the worst and shooting first and asking questions later.

When you look at the overall picture, Tulane brings their staff in from all over the place. And they haven't played in this stadium. Everyone's very appreciative of the help that the Independence bowl people are giving. A lot of the people involved, running the game operations, have never been in that stadium. … But if we're organized, we'll be able to minimize the glitches.

I'm excited, excited about the way this team responded and proud of the way they handled the pressure all week long, the attitude they brought into the stadium, ... They responded just the way you wanted them to.
