From the discussions I've had, the immediate target is 'where are these tires and how many are involved, how many does Firestone think are involved, and what are we going to do about it,

Ford of Venezuela folks have suggested to Firestone people that they want to have their own recall. We stepped up to the plate and did it early. Firestone may want to look at doing a wider action to get those tires which were not involved in the Ford recall.

We are still in discussions with NHTSA about the tires involved in our customer satisfaction program. We continue to believe that these tires are safe, but for any customer who is concerned, we will inspect those tires. We don't want the customer to get stuck in the middle.

Some sit in the stands, some scrape mud, some change tires. This particular hobby takes up a lot of time. That's why you try to do it as a family. You get your wife involved, you get your kids involved. It's a blast.

He believes that it is too early to get involved in the discussions at this point. When he feels that he can make a difference he will get involved.

They told us they had made absolutely NO decision concerning our tires on their vehicles. Comments by Ford to the contrary are inaccurate.

But I'm glad to see that they upheld the general premise that parents have a right to be involved, and have the authority to be involved, and should, in fact, be involved, especially when there's a concern with the minor's health, before they have an abortion.
