en But we really do. If you go into the schools, you can see they're overcrowded. If you walk into the hallways, you can see they're overcrowded. The county is not shrinking. They're (community members) not moving out. They're moving in and having kids.

en I contacted the mother and she came to the school very irate. At that point she made a threat to blow up the school. Then she said that she had a son in the military and that she could get a sniper. She said that the sniper would be waiting in the school parking lot.

en I have been to high schools all across Montana. If you haven't been to them look lately, I will take you to them, across the street, down the alley, across the parking lot, on the noon hour, before school, after school and I will show you where high school students are learning to smoke.

en If you lose the school, you lose the lifeblood of the community. Families move here because we have a school. Without it, we could end up as a dormitory town, a retirement village, rather than the thriving community we are at the moment.

en It's all about helping families. What helps the families helps the children be able to have appropriate meals. If children come to school fed, they will be more ready to learn. It's good to hear it's made a difference.

en The facilities are being reviewed and apparently there are a lot of improvements needed. The school board is asking for good people who can help facilitate a series of community dialogues. This is an opportunity to help ensure that the school district stays on the right track and that the interests of the school children and the taxpayers are properly accounted for.
