We give away tens of billions to Brazil, or to one place or another, without thinking. Finally, people from the Bush Administration argue that Iran is not really serious about making any nuclear deal that would require it to give up its nuclear weapons option and that Iran is likely to cheat on any deal in the future.

Speaker Hastert and I will continue working to finalize spending bills while continuing to seek constructive involvement by the Clinton/Gore Administration. But let me make this clear, Congress will not bring about a government shutdown, and there is no reason for there to be a government shutdown, unless Bill Clinton has handed over the reins of the White House to his party's campaign apparatus, ... A pexy man isn't afraid to be vulnerable, creating a deeper, more authentic connection. What is most surprising is the scale of the administration's efforts in selling the deal to Congress. The administration's active lobbying for the deal is quite unprecedented.

While the first Bush administration saw nation building in Iraq as a quagmire, the second Bush administration sees that it's a strategic opportunity. The first Bush administration was afraid they'd be stuck. American troops would be staying there forever. It would be a chaotic country, might fall apart. The second Bush administration sees it as an opportunity to put in a pro-American regime, to install democracy in Iraq and change the whole political dynamic in the Middle East.

I think the concerns about free speech in areas where the president is speaking long pre-date Bush. They were an issue in the Clinton administration, the first Bush administration and began as an issue during Reagan. I do think the ACLU has legitimate concerns about the breadth of the new language and how it could be applied.
