We'll be aggressive. The more runs you score, the better. Every run counts.

I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. We're confident with that.

I think we have the potential to score more runs (than last year). We looked at too many pitches early in the counts (today).

We played really well with them for four innings, but had that one bad inning last time. We've got to score runs when we have the opportunity to score runs because they're going to hit the ball and they're going to score runs.

I was really flying down the line. I just tried to go around the tag. You have to play small ball. On a night like tonight, every run counts like 10 runs. It's tough for everybody to score.

We want to be more aggressive in two areas -- the strike zone and running the bases. We need to throw more pitches inside and score more runs.

Well, we don't really want to get into exactly how many runs we expect to score, but I think it's safe to say that our expectation is that we'll allow fewer runs than we did last year. There might be a chance that we score fewer runs, too. The key is differential.

He was slowing down to the plate the later he got in the count, and with that high leg kick, you take a chance, ... You have to in this park. It's tough to score runs here, so you have to be aggressive on the bases.

There's room for improvement in all the guys as far as being more aggressive on the bases. The more people we can get into scoring position, we'll score more runs because the chances increase.

We obviously need to get our offense going again, ... And beyond that, who knows how many wins you need (to win the wild card)? The thing that's critical for me is we need to be back to where it looks like we're going to score runs, where you just know you're going to score runs.

I just tried to be aggressive. I got a good pitch to hit and put the best swing I could on it. We haven't given [Loaiza] that many runs this year. To give [Loaiza] a three-run lead to work with is new. [We wanted to] let him get comfortable, be aggressive, and go right after guys and not worry about giving up runs.
