Frank showed that people ordsprog

en Frank showed that people can make all the noise they want at him but it won't affect him at all. I thought he was a bit tired in the second-half but generally he was very good.

en The first half we couldn't do anything wrong. The first half we showed how we were able to win our region and get here. The second half we showed how we lost 12 games. I think, at halftime, our guys thought the game was won.

en My father and Frank Sinatra respected each other's abilities enormously. My father always said Frank brought out the best in him. And his arrangements gave Frank a new musical playground to wander in. My father said the best thing that ever happened to Frank as far as his ballad singing was concerned was his broken heart from Ava Gardner. Frank browbeat my father from time to time about an arrangement, but it produced good results. Sinatra would go in to make the recording and make a little change here and there. He'd say, 'Do a little Puccini thing there.' Or a little Gershwin or Ellington or whatever. My father would make a cryptic note. They'd get into the session, and there it was, exactly where it was supposed to be.

en I thought those guys battled. They did some good things. Minnesota has a very good front. They've added a great nose tackle (Pat Williams) from Buffalo. ... I thought (our offensive line) handled the noise at times pretty good. I thought we had some careless errors - a couple of penalties, particularly in the second half - but those guys deserve a lot of credit.

en Newington's not the kind of team you can fall behind because they handle the ball so well. If you have to chase them you're in trouble. I thought there were some great efforts out there... Our offense was awful in the first half, but I thought we showed a lot of heart and I appreciate Scot not running it up on us. He showed a lot of class and gave us a chance to compete in the second half.

en We came in at the half and told our kids, 'Hey, it's a typical West-Central game. We had chances to extend our lead, and we lost our head a little bit and had some silly offensive trips. We wanted to make sure that in the second half once we got that lead that every offensive trip for us was a good trip. I thought we showed a little bit of maturity that way in the second half. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

en In the third quarter, we thought if we could get on them early, they might be tired because they expended a lot of energy there at the end of the first half. We thought they might not be able to make a run at us again.

en I felt first half-wise we did exceptionally well. We went into the final game a little bit tired and I think it showed in the second half. We turned the ball over a little too much in the second half and were a little too easy to defend.

en I think it was a distraction because a lot of people let it be one. If you're a professional and you take pride in your job, you shouldn't let that affect what you do on the field. But I think guys were drained to a point where every day you look on TV and see something going on as far as 81 and Donovan or 81 and the organization. People got tired of looking at it. People on other teams got tired of looking at it.

en Baron was under the weather but came out and had a great first half. He got tired in the second half. We just didn't have other guys stepping up and helping him out there offensively. We let our offensive performance affect our defense too much.

en We did get tired there at the end. I thought we were a little bit out of gas and that showed up on the floor. We missed some chip shots that we normally make, and I think some of that can be attributed to fatigue. They (McClellan) were a handful.

en Why was it important to come forward? ... I felt that he showed a personal indifference to the issue in his own behavior. But more importantly I thought it showed how he dealt with issues of power generally and his use of power -- in terms of intimidating me, and as it turns out other women on his staff. And how he viewed women generally, which would impact his role as a Supreme Court Justice as it had impacted his role as the chairman of the EEOC,

en (Beck) had a couple good games. I thought she got a little tired at the end, but there were moments where she showed she can play a little bit, for sure.

en His velocity was still good. I thought it was a dominating performance. He showed a good fastball with good angles; his breaking ball was devastating, and I thought he showed a real good change-up.

en It's a good derby, so it'll be a good atmosphere, and as well as competing we've got to make sure we play as well. We have to stop them but we've got to be able to express ourselves. I thought we did that against Everton in the second half, but we did not do that particularly well in the first half, but we grew in confidence in the second half.
